Chapter Three

Windrixville

Janie's POV

I woke up with Johnny playing with my hair.

I felt like we were moving. I got up a little too fast holding my head in pain.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"On a train" Johnny explained.

"Oh okay" I sat near him.

"We finally getting away from mom and dad" I smiled

Then saw Ponyboy

"What's Ponyboy doing here" I asked.

"You passed out at Dally's " was all Johnny said and I looked at him confused. Then it all flew clear back in my mind. I forgot about Last night... Johnny killed Bob...

I hugged Johnny.

"I thought I was dreaming" I mumbled

"Nope all too real" he mumbled back.

"Time to jump" he mumbled

"Ponyboy" waking him up.

"Yeah?" He woke up as we grabbed his arm and jumped.

Ponyboy was confused for a bit and then understood.

Johnny told him to ask the one guy where Jay moutain was. And for water.

As he did.

"Here take these pills" Johnny said giving me some pills and the water Ponyboy brought back.

"Why" I gulped.

"You passed out so Dally told me when you wake up give this" he explained. I nodded and popped them.

We walked up Jay mountain seeing a church.

We walked in and decided to lay down and go to sleep.

Ponyboy and I both were still up.

Johnny passed out fast. I don't blame him.

"Janie" Ponyboy mumbled

"Yeah?" I looked at him.

"Are you okay?" He asked

I nodded "just tired"

"Same here, when you passed out at Dally's I got scared" he raised an eyebrow at me

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I care about you that's all" he smiled

I smiled back "You don't have too"

"I have to..." He blushed passing out.

"Same here Ponyboy" I muttered passing out as well.

Soon I woke up to Ponyboy screaming Johnny.

I looked over to see a note.

"Be back soon -JC"

"Ponyboy" I pointed at the note.

He nodded "So Janie" he scratched his head.

"How are you feeling?" He asked

"I'm okay..." I sat up.

"Let's go get water" Ponyboy stood up holding a hand out.

I grabbed it as we walked over.

We drank some water.

Put some on our face.

We put some in a bucket and took it inside.

Soon Ponyboy smirked at me.
