Why.

How did that gear in your mind turn?
The one that decided it was okay,
That it was reasonable,
That you are worthy enough,
To even consider taking all of those lives.

Thousands died because you sought to make this happen.
People that had families,
People that had a life,
People that didn't deserve to die by the likes of you.

You act as though it was ever okay.
To take that plain,
To threaten those people's lives.
How dare you.
How dare you make the choice to kill those thousands.

It's true that they are in a better place,
In a better world entirely,
In a glorious halo alongside the king.

Even so.
That was not your choice to make.
To spill the blood as you so humbly did,
It doesn't seem to matter to you,
Your dead too....

Those people didn't have to be.
Fifteen years in the grave,
Six feet down,
And counting the years.
The day the twins collapsed,
Killing all who couldn't find a way.

So I ask one harsh question.

Why?
