6:24pm

Louis ran as fast as his legs could take him. His lungs were burning and his eyes were stinging, but it did nothing to slow Louis down. For once, Liam couldn't catch up to him. Louis finally stopped running when he had reached the CD store and ran straight into the door. He had forgotten Liam had locked the store up, and the impact of the glass door against Louis' face made him fall to the ground.

Louis felt a great deal of pain on his left cheek, but that didn't compare to the pain he felt in his heart. It had shattered into millions of pieces, when his crush had said those horrid words. They were like poison to Louis' ears, and made him feel weak, small, and worthless.

His heart was no longer filled with emotions, all traces of love gone. All his heart was now just a body part that pumped blood throughout his veins.

"Louis, you okay mate?" Louis stood up quickly, wiping some tears away, and looked behind him to see Liam slowly approaching him.

"Do I fucking look okay?"

Liam was taken aback by his best friend's hostile words, but chose to ignore it, figuring something had to have gone terribly wrong for Louis to be acting so rude. There wasn't a mean bone in Louis' body, but his broken heart had caused him to snap.

Instead of replying, Liam moved around Louis, fishing the keys to the shop out of his pocket, and unlocked the door. Louis, who was still crying, pushed Liam out of the way and entered the shop, where there would be less people witnessing his break down.

"Are you gonna tell me what happened?" Liam asked, as he entered the shop behind Louis and closed the door. Liam sat down on the ground, leaning against a shelf. Louis joined his friend on the ground, not meeting his eyes.

"H-he said he's not gay. And the way he said it, sounded like he was completely disgusted with the thought of it," Louis stuttered out, before breaking into sobs that tugged on Liam's heart strings. He wrapped his arms around the smaller boy, who gratefully accepted the comfort.

The two sat there for a while, Liam gently rubbing Louis' back and whispering calming words to the sobbing lad, even though they did nothing to help. All Louis could think about was bakery boy's words, and that just made him depressed all over again.

What neither of the boys knew was that the bakery boy was watching them through the window, and although he couldn't hear a word they were saying, he could see how upset the smaller boy was, and he wanted to do nothing but comfort him. Yet, something was stopping him from entering, maybe that he didn't want to intrude, or he was just too scared to comfort the boy who he had a crush on. Either way, he stayed on the opposite side of the window, just watching the scene unfold.

After about ten minutes of crying, Liam's shirt had gotten wet from tears, but Louis had calmed down enough to explain what happened.

"So, t-the leather jacket guy joined his table, a-and I-I was about to say something when he said that h-he isn't gay," Louis wailed out. He clutched onto Liam's t-shirt, his body shaking, and more sobs escaping his lips.

"What did he exactly say?" Liam questioned, rubbing Louis' back, his eyes filled with guilt, although Louis couldn't see. Liam felt slightly responsible for this, as he practically forced Louis to try and make a move on the curly-haired boy.
