RJ / July 16, 2016

After an 11-hour direct flight from Manila, we arrived at the Honolulu International Airport. It was hot and humid because it is summer, and a lot of people from all over the United States since it's the start of the vacation. The airport is jampacked with tourists.

"Hoy, Pokerson. Paantay naman ng maleta ko please. Call of nature eh."

And she ran to the comfort room as fast as she could.

Depende pa sayo or sakin. Kung sinong mas mag-eenjoy. Masusukat ko yon, wag kang ano.' That's what I remembered.

Wala namang problema sa oras eh. We both are working on our own preferred time since she's a writer/photographer and I'm a videographer. Walang problema sa pag-file ng leave. The perks of being your own boss no? Kaya habang nandito kami, might as well document the whole trip.

It's been exactly a month since Laura broke up with me. Maybe we can surf—

"Hoy yung maleta ko!"

I saw Maine running towards her big blue suitcase which was nearing the other end of baggage claim carousel. Nakalimutan ko yung maleta niya!

Though she got it on time, may naitulak naman siyang Japanese guy yata na napaupo sa lakas ng pagkakatulak niya.

"Gomen'nasai, gomen'nasai." She told the guy while bowing. "I was going to get my suitcase before it goes back to the plane," tinuro niya yung suitcase niya. "Gomen'nasai."

"It's okay." Sabi nung Hapon.

God bless my soul.

"Hindi ko kinalimutan, nakalimutan ko. Magkaiba yon."

Naglakad na siya palabas ng airport, stomping like a kid and shouting, "Ewan ko sayo!"

Hay, Nicomaine. Every. single. time.

We went to the Pacific Marina Inn, a hotel 15 minutes away from the airport, with a good view of the beach as well.

"Ano bang itinerary natin?" I asked her as we put down our bags inside our hotel room.

Bago kayo mag-isip, one room with twin beds yung kinuha ni Menggay.

"Yung pinaka-tour naman natin, magsisimula bukas. Since 11am pa lang naman ngayon, we can have lunch and walk around for a while."

I nodded and unpacked my suitcases.
