Chapter Five

You And I Together?

(I’m sorry I made you guys wait for this chapter for so long. I honestly didn’t know what to write and I didn’t want to write nothing boring or stupid. Lol. Hope you guys like this chapter.)

~Mya’s P.O.V.~

~3 p.m.~

After being suspended from school for the rest of this week taught me two things. One of them was to never fight in Domino High but instead fight them afterschool…

And the second thing was that I think Seto Kaiba isn’t has cold hearted as I thought.

I’ve been working every day since the fight at school by babysitting Mokuba or helping him with his papers and other office things. But ever since he actually fixed the chain of my locket I can’t help but think he was….nice.

“Ha! What am I thinking?”  I said out loud to myself and flopped back down on my bed on my back.

Seto Kaiba being nice? That was a joke.

Or I could be wrong….

I groaned in annoyance at myself since I was utterly confused about him. Why does he treat me differently from Yugi and the rest of my new friends?

My thoughts were interrupted from my cell phone blasting my ringtone “I am the best” by 2NE1. (Japanese Version)

It’s two in the mornin’

“Hello?” I answered my phone, sitting up on my bed.

“Mya! Do you know what today is?” A cheery voice said at the other end.

“Ummm…” I paused and looked at my calendar. “October 30th?”

The cheery voice laughed. “I knew that! It’s the Halloween dance today! Don’t you remember?”

“Ohhhh.” My voice muffled a bit. “Right…may I ask who I’m talking to exactly…?”

“It’s Tea! Diane is picking up her costume she ordered from the shop. Do you have your costume?”

“Well…” I glanced at my closet carefully, eyeing every piece of clothing I owned. “I kind of don’t….”

Tea gasped. “What?! Why didn’t you tell me! Don’t worry though, I have a costume I kept in handy for emergencies like this.”

“Tea you don’t have to do tha-“

“But I want to! After all we’re friends. I don’t mind at all.” Tea seemed to be smiling through the phone, I could feel it.

A smile came across my face softly. “Well Ok Tea. I appreciate your kindness.”

“No problem Mya. Listen Diane said we’ll be there in about 7 minutes and we’ll get ready together. Okay?”

“Okay. See you then.”

“See ya.” Tea hung up the phone, and so did I shortly after.

I got off my bed and stood in front of my mirror, staring at myself. My hair was messy but my eyes were bright. Looking at my own eyes I could see my mother….
