Forgive Me (Legolas fanfic) (COMPLETED)

Chapter 3

Maeranna's POV

I woke up and took a quick bath. I wore my normal hunting outfit. I took out my book and walked outside the castle and read up in the tree. I finished half of the book within 4 hours so I decided to get down from here and go back to my chambers. I got up to my feet and carefully placed on foot on a big looking branch but little did I know, it was a dead branch, so it broke and I fell. But before I hit a ground someone caught me. I looked up and saw Legolas with a friendly, broad smile.

"Legolas! How did you caught me all of a sudden?" I asked while smiling back at him

"I have been looking all over for you, then I found you trying to get down from a tree." He replied

"Well, perfect timing!" I said

"Thank you." I said

"The pleasure is all mine. How about take a stroll through the woods with me?" He asked

"Alright."

We took a step inside the woods. We walked deeper and deeper, then suddenly I thought of something.

"Legolas, the river right in front of my balcony, where does it lead to?" I asked

"It with lead you a drop and pick up center where the people of Lake Town trade with the elves."

"And that path will also lead you there." Legolas said while stopping and pointing to the west of the woods.

"How do you know these directions so well?" I asked

"I sometimes went on patrol." He replied

"And to the east you will find a secret garden where no one visits." He said

"Come." He pulled me to the east of the woods and I saw a large willow tree then Legolas pulled me deeper in and I saw the most beautiful garden in my life. Gemstones managed to grow from the ground, the leaves are fresh green, the trees are not covering the skies anymore which shows the light blue sky with puffy clouds, and there is an old fountain.

"Wow!" I am clearly amazed by this point

"I knew you would like it!" Legolas said in success

"I love it! This is the most beautiful garden I have ever seen in all of my years!"

"By the way, am I the only one that you have ever shown this place to?" I asked

"Well, you and... never mind that!" Legolas said

Well, that's odd. He looked a bit sad but then he shook it off and put on his smile back and turned around facing his back to me. He bent down to his knee and pick up a white rose. He turned back around and gave it to me.

I took it gently from his hands because there were thorns in them. I looked at it and soon my eyes got lost in the white flower.

"Its beautiful." I mumbled

"Did you plant this?" I asked looking up to him

"I didn't." He said

"Someone must have planted this with care. Rivendell does not have these kind of flowers." I said

"We better go back before my father sends his soldiers to search for us." He said

I nodded. I put the flower in my tiny pocket and I held in the pain as it scratches me as I ran with Legolas.

We arrived and we both go our own direction.

5 months later

Legolas has been summoned by his father so he won't be here to accompany me for a moment. I went back to my room and I decided to get take a bath and I soon got changed into a dark blue dress similar to Arwen's. Right after I have finished doing my hair, I heard a knock. It sounded like someone is in a rush. I opened it to see Legolas and an elleth with bright red hair.

"Maera, I'm afraid orcs have went in our borders. Hundreds if them. I suggest you stay here. Alright?" He said softly with his hands on my shoulders.

"What in the Mines of Moria is orc's problems?" I mumbled while looking away

"I will be gone for a few days." He said

I looked at him immediately.

"In the meantime, Tauriel will accompany you." He said while moving out of Tauriel

Tauriel had a friendly smile on.

"I have to go." Legolas said and left without another word

"Lady Maeranna, its nice to finally meet you in person." Tauriel bowed

"Maeranna or Maera or Ranna would be fine." I said to her

"Come in." I said

She came in and sat on the floor in front of me.

"So, I've heard that you are the captain of the guards." I said

"Yes, I am." She said

Its just more and more friendly talk, she just went into my friend list.

We talked and talked until its at least 4:30 in the afternoon and she told me that she needs to go. I feel lonely already.

I didn't ate dinner, I just read my book for the whole night until I have reached the end of the book at 1:40 a.m.

I turned off the lights and went to bed
