Chapter 12

Maera's POV

We went to the top of Ravenhill and no orcs are there.

Thorin sent Filli and Killi to search on some levels.

"Where is that orc filth?" Thori hissed

"Have they fled?" I asked

"Thorin!" Bilbo came up to us

"Bilbo!"

"You have to leave here, now! Azog has another army attacking from the north, this watchtower will be completely surrounded there'll be no way out." Bilbo said while panting

"We were so close! That orc scum is in there! I say we push on!" Dwalin said

"No! That's what he wants, he wants to lure us in. This is a trap." Thorin realizes

"Then we must find Filli and Killi!" I said

"Find Filli and Killi, call them back!" Thorin told Dwalin in a panik tone

Dwalin protested at a moment but Thorin said, "Do it. We will live to fight another day."

We all decided to find Filli and Killi but as I turned around to get started, something boomed out. It was not loud but it is enough to get everyone's attention. We all turned around and saw Azog coming out from the shadows and in his hands is Filli.

Thorin ran forward and so did I.

"This one dies first." Azog said in orcish while holding Filli up by his clothes in the air

"Then the brother." He continued

"Then you, Oakenshield."

"You will die last."

"No! Run!" Filli yelled

Then Azog stabbed Filli through and dropped Filli. Filli fell from the floor above down to our floor. Dead. We all gasped and looked away.

"Here ends your filthy bloodline." Azog said

Filli fell in front of his brother, Killi. My heart drops to my stomach. Killi, then became enraged and ran up stairs to hunt Azog down himself. We raced to get him back but we were stopped by a few orcs. I stabbed an orc on the chest, some on the neck. I then went to the right hallway and saw a big sized orc, not Azog nor Bolg. This one is just hard to kill. I stabbed him on his thigh and he screamed a bit. Then I heard more footsteps coming from behind me so I turned around and saw nothing, that giant orc that I stabbed on the thigh tried to make a move on me on my head but I ducked down, "arghh!" I yelped out as I realized that it tried to aim for my stomach not my head. It stabbed me in my left shoulder because I bent down. I made a quick
move and stabbed him right through his head. My shoulder hurt badly but I have to keep going. Now I decided to left. There, I found someone... Killi, dead on the icy ground. I saw Bolg walking to Tauriel, she is passed out. I attacked Bolg and since he is bigger than me, he is obviously much stronger than I am so he threw me around like a bouncy ball. Although I am not that bouncy.

He threw me to a wall and I hit my head. I threw a dagger to his arm, he took a second to take it off so I took my just sword and just stabbed him. I felt satisfied in killing him myself.

"Maera!" Seredhil appeared and hugged me

"Ow!" I said

"Sorry!" Seredhil said

"Its fine."

"One more thing about Legolas, Maera. I just figure out something insane." She looked at me dead serious

"What is it?" I asked

"Legolas got Tauriel pregnant." Seredhil said

It was a stab in the heart. It hurts more than the stab in my shoulder. Tears were blurring my eye sight and it finally fell.

"Maera!" An ellon's voice sounded behind me

I turned around to see Legolas.

"We need to bring you to a healer!" Legolas said, ignoring the presence of Seredhil

"Is it true?" I asked relating about him bailing on Seredhil's marriage.

"What?" He asked

"You proposed to Seredhil and didn't even show up to the wedding?" I asked

"That's not important right now." He said

"Well it is to me!" I screamed

"Believe me now Maera. I warned you before he did anything worse to you." Seredhil said

"Get our of here!" Legolas ordered Seredhil

"Who are you to order her around? She is a princess! And you are a prince outside of your Realm! You have no power here!" I yelled

I was so pissed.

"Why did you do it? Why have you been being a playboy?" I asked. At this moment, I have tears all over my face

"What?" He asked in confusion

"Don't even deny it! Why would you date me and Tauriel at the same time?" I shouted

"Maera I did not-

"You even got her pregnant!" I screamed

"What did you say?" Legolas asked

I looked down for a second and said, "please give us a moment, Seredhil."

She disappeared to thin air.

"What in the world are you talking about, Maera?" He asked

"Don't try to act up! Seredhil told me everything you have done and she was right!"

"No I did not date any other elleth except Seredhil and you! Tauriel is my friend!" He shouted back

"Yes, you did date Seredhil! You even proposed but didn't show up!"

"How does that include you?!" Legolas asked

"For Iluvatar's sake, Legolas. You dated Tauriel and many other elleths as well. I might be one of your victims next time!"

"I can't believe you would believe her!" Legolas shouted

"And I can't believe you would do this to me!" I shouted back

"This is it. Never try to see me again. You're lucky that an orc stabbed me in my shoulder. I can't slap you now." I said, he just looked at me with anger in his eyes.

"Leave me be." I said

"Fine." He mumbled and turned around, and started walking.

I turned around to see the stairs near Killi's dead body. My eye sight got a bit messy, my head is spinning, and I felt I couldn't breathe. I tried to keep my eyes open but I couldn't and I can feel my body falling to the ground.
