Tobias sat in the sweat scented taxi cab, his russet colored gaze meeting with pink neon lights above head.

        Doll House. A Gentleman's club.

The four-hundred-year old vampire slumped back against the broken leather of taxi seat and ran his fingers through his wavy chocolate toned locks.

This is where his King and Queen, Jon and Ophelia Cross wanted to be? Out of all the places to take a liking to in New York City. This is how they were choosing to spend their vacation.

Jon had business to attend to here in New York, hence the "vacation" for the servants.

Anywhere in New York they could have went, but they've chosen a place that didn't suit Tobias' taste. He wasn't one to shamelessly gawk at women for their assets. In fact, he was quite the gentleman. He looked back up at the establishment and his lip curled.

The word gentlemen were quite misused in this case. More like a savages’ club.

Tobias did understand why he brought them here unfortunately. Vampires came here for an easy meal, so it was only natural to bring along the newly turned girls, his queen, and her friend Marissa.

He paid the cab driver and slammed the car door shut, stepping out onto the litter filled sidewalk. Everywhere he looked there were various wrappers, black gum stains, cigarette butts, and he even spotted a used condom, as if there weren't garbage cans on every corner.

        It was disgusting here.

Tobias exhaled in agitation, his heavy sigh muffled by the sound of screaming sirens racing by. Red and blue flashed along the heavily tinted glass doors of the nightclub that awaited him to enter.

With one final groan of protest, he walked in the direction of the two bouncers, gave a quick flash of his identification, before pulling the handle and allowing sensual music to sway through the silent streets.

Aromas of heavy perfume, stale arousal, and the many blood types roamed throughout the strip club. He didn't let his eyes wander the surroundings, rather, kept it steadily in front of him, ignoring the half clothed women purring at him and making sexual comments.

Tobias needed to find Master Cross and his queen. As a servant of theirs, he felt it was important he be at their side as soon as possible.

Eventually he scanned the crowd and found his group, Marissa's lively blonde curls bouncing in excitement as she held a drink in her hand while Ophelia sat and smiled. Yami, another one of the Cross servants was seated in plush velvet chairs next to Jon and their third servant Kiroh.

Queen Ophelia cocked her head in Tobias' direction and smiled. "I was beginning to think you had turned down the offer." She spoke over the music, giving him a fanged beam.

Tobias returned the gesture and moved to be near them, leaning against an arm chair.

"How could I turn down an offer when I serve to protect the king and Queen of this race?" Ophelia laughed, bringing a blush pink drink to her lips. Though vampires could not ingest human foods, they favored liquor. It was like a treat.

"Tobias, I have fought in a war at the age of sixteen. Do you really believe I wouldn't be able to protect myself?" Tobias gave a nonchalant shrug. Sure he wasn't needed for much aside from miniscule tasks, but he didn't mind that. He liked his job, and would still protect them even if they didn't need it.
