If 4 X 12 is 48, then you would have to multiply the 3 by 12 because the ratio has to be even. Like the paint, you can add more, but it has to be the same two colors and number of buckets
For Example: you have 3 buckets of yellow paint and 5 buckets of blue. If you want to ass more to the recipe, you need to multiply both.
