Vacation With My Cousin

Prologue : The beginning

Nandito kami sa Sunset Bay Resort— located at La Union, where my family decided to have a vacation.

Mabuti na lamang at kasama ni kuya Chaos si ate Hannah and kuya Charm si Casey because I can enjoy the beauty of La Union with the ates kesa naman si mommy at daddy lang ang palaging ka hangout ko, edi sana di nalang ako sumama.

But all of the sudden my heart jumped for joy when a bangka-de-motor suddenly stop at bumaba ang mga pasahero and my smile widened when I saw Garcias— our relatives, mom's side.

Para akong batang tumakbo papunta sa kanila atsaka nagmano.

"Hi po tita, Hi tito" I kissed them hello. "Lindz!" I gladly exclaimed and hugged Lindsey, my cousin.

My face turned dismay as the bangka drove away and my eyes roamed to look for my closest cousin— Lucho.

"Nah, I know sino you're looking for. My mayabang brother?" Lindsey asked me, sobrang conyo niya talaga.

I nodded as an answer. Alam kasi nila kung gaano kami ka close ni Lucho.

She made a face. "Sabi nya to me na I will tell you na he can't punta because he has some trabaho to do" she informed me, I nodded and smiled.

I just thought makakapunta sya. I felt disappointed that day, naiinis tuloy ako sa kanya.

Six in the evening he called but I didn't answer it. Asa naman sya! Galit ako sa kanya. Nagulat na lamang ako nang may kumatok at pumasok sa pintuan ko si Lindsey.

"Are you galit to my brother?" she asked.

Pilit nalang akong ngumiti and shook my head.

"Then bakit he is bothering me na you don't sagot his tawag?" nakapamewang pang tanong nito sa akin.

Napatingin ako sa cellphone ko. There were 15 missed calls and 20 messages. She rolled her eyes, naiinis din siguro siya sa kuya niya kasi siya ang dinidistorbo.

Nagulat na lamang ako nang bigla siyang ngumiti na tila may binabalak. "Ah, I will sabi to him na you're not here," malademonyo itong ngumiti kaya napangisi na rin ako at lumabas na ito.

Kinabukasan, nagulat ako when I saw my phone's screen. There were 60 missed calls and 40 messages when I woke up. Sana talaga hindi ko nalamang chinarge ang phone ko, but on the brighter side, my phone was silent.

Nagpunta ako sa kusina, same as usual wala na ang mga tao. I looked for food and thank goodness may pancakes but I want some milk shake.

I look for the blender on the cabinets and found it on the uppermost of the cabinets. Kinuha ko ang upuan upang magsilbing hagdanan.

Umakyat ako doon and tried to reach for the blender. Napangiti ako na parang nanalo sa lotto as I held its holder but I gasped hard when I heard a voice.

"Pagnahulog ka diyan, ihuhulog ulit kita." A familiar voice said, napatingin ako and my eyes widened as I saw him. My closest cousin, Lucho Miguel Garcia.

Nagulat ako dahilan para ma-out-of-balance ako. Napapikit ako sa kaba ngunit dahan dahan ko itong binuka nang di ko maramdaman ang pagbagsak ko sa sahig.

My eyes widened when I realized my face was so close to him. Nasalo niya pala ako.

I can feel his breath on my face. Our eyes suddenly met. Napapikit ako when I felt his lips on mine. I found myself responding to it. Mahal ko siya, matagal na.
