24 : He's getting married

I decided to fly to California -- specifically -- Westwood para hanapin sia, I knew where they are because of my mom.

Although tita Melinda didn't told her -- I guess -- about our affair. No, relationship -- Alam ni mommy na may bahay sila doon and that's the last place I think they were. Inimpake ko na ang mga gamit ko at nagtungo na sa airport.

After fourteen hours and fifty two minutes of suffering from the noise of the plane. I have finally arrived Westwood, California. Agad akong nagtungo sa isang hotel which is malapit sa village nina Chanty -- na pinareserved ko three days ago.

The day after, nagpasya akong magjogging doon sa village nila. I wore my hood jacket and jogging pants at isinabit sa balikat ko ang headphones ko. Alam ko kung saan ang bahay nila dito -- block 25, lot 3 -- no other than this house in my front.

Napatingin ako sa bahay and my gaze landed on the veranda -- it's her. Gusto ko tumakbo at magtungo doon but as what Flynn said -- Give them some space. Napatingin sia sa may gawi ko kaya dali akong yumuko at inayos ang hood ko at tumakbo na ulit. Nang matapos ang morning jog ko ay nagtungo ako sa may coffee shop sa may village lang din nila. I ordered coffee jelly -- it's our favourite.

Napatingin ako sa may entrance gate at halos mailuwa ko na lahat ng nainom ko ng makita ko si Charm at Chanty. Darn it! Paano ako makakalabas dito?! Putchaheck!

Tumayo na ako at nakayukong lumakad papalabas pero sa kasamaang palad may nabangga ako "Aww, oh, sorry mister." my heart skips it beat. That voice. Halos gusto ko ng maluha. "S..Sorry." I said at dali dali ng lumabas and I heard her called me.

"Excuse me, mister! You dropped your earphones!"  she called. Balak ko pa sanang kunin dahil baka makita ni Charm iyon -- yes, because it's his.

Agad akong tumakbo papauwi ng hotel.

"That's familiar." I nodded. Kuya meant the earphones that the man just dropped awhile ago when we went to coffee shop that I bumped into. "Parang yung binigay mo kay Lucho noon." out of the blue yan na lamang ang nasabi ko. Kuya eyed at me. "Hindi dahil hindi nia tayo matutunton dito dahil wala akong pinagsabihan aside from Casey, and Chaos." parang kampante niang sabi. It's been three in a half weeks since they parted me away from Lucho.

Gusto kong kumbinsihin ang sarili ko na mahal pa nia ako at hindi nia ipinagkakaila na anak nia iyong ipinapagbuntis ko, noon. But in the mere fact that he haven't even look for me ay parang naniniwala na ako na hindi ang sagot ng mga iyon.

Bagsak balikat akong sumagot kay kuya "Maybe ate Casey did told him." Kuya clenched his jaw "Casey wouldn't said that to him because she knows the situation." he smiled in assurance.

Napatango ako "Paano kapag tinakot nya pala si ate Case?" walang ekspresyon kong sabi.

Nanliksik ang mga mata nito "Subukan nia at isasama ko sia sa hukay ng anak nia." mariin niang sabi. Nanluha ang mga mata ko, when the topic involves my baby -- naiiyak ako. The next thing I knew that I did was slapped his face. Hinawakan nia ang kamay ko at agad na nanghingi ng tawad "Chant, sorry. I didn't mean to say it. Chant sorry because I'm being insensitive." namula na ang mga mata nito.

"Mabuti at alam mo." I said bitterly. Napayuko ito at muling nanghingi ng tawad. I didn't even answered him and went to my room. Doon ako umiyak ng umiyak. After making myself calm I called Cheska.

[Chanty, hello?]

Napahikbi ako, I miss her "Ches, how is he?" I asked between my sobs. I heard her sighed on the other line. [Chant, maybe I need to tell you this..] malungkot ang boses nia and I can sense that something is really darn wrong.

"Cheska what?!" I said impatiently. Nanluha na naman ang mga mata ko. She let out a huge sigh.

[Chant, ikakasal na si Lucho kay Anastasia.] I dropped my phone at parang natuod panandalian. Bagsak balikat akong humihikbi at tinakpan ko ang bibig ko gamit ang kamay at napaupo sa sahig. I sobbed hard. Wow! Just great! He's getting married.
