You weren't always like this.

You used to be so carefree and happy. Life was colorful and you loved everybody and you got a long well with everybody. Kaneki and you lived life together like nothing seemed to matter in the world, because nothing did matter in the world.

But now, you were a cold dangerous girl whose world was no longer colorful and beautiful, the only reason to live was to protect Kaneki from the bad in the world. Which surrounded him.

It was all because of that one night; when they took your lovable, sweet Kaneki away from you and tortured him. There he was, sitting in that chair screaming his heart out as Jason tortured him. He was as helpless as can be while you stood there and watched.

But something inside of you just - snapped.

Running up behind Jason, you activated your kagune and shot it towards him as he was busy not paying any attention to you. Just as you were going to hit him, he stopped your kagune and grabbed your foot, swinging you hard toward the ground.

"Oh, your little princess tried to kill me." He chuckled as Kaneki stared in horror as your body twitched in the broken ground beneath you. With all the energy you had left, you pulled yourself up off the ground and back on your feet as you glared at Jason hard.

"Get away from him." You said with a hard cold voice as he turned to look at you with a smile. "Are you really going to try to start a fight with a person as small as you?"

Having enough of the talk, you ran straight at him with your kagune flying behind you. Kagune flung and fought as the two of you tried taking each other down. You never fought a ghoul before, but you were going all out on Jason for hurting Kaneki.

Finding an opening, you cut his throat and pushed off on his chest as you flew back onto his feet gently as you watched him stumble back before falling. His blood shooting out of his neck, his voice sputtering as you walked next to him; your kakugan looking straight down at him as you plunged your kagune into his chest, killing him.

Retracting your kagune after a good minute, you turned and helped Kaneki free as you enveloped him into your arms. You placed your face in his neck as you shook in his arms, feeling helpless about not being able to help him sooner.

"I'm sorry I was too late." You said into his neck as his weak arms wrapped around you. Pulling back to look at him, his black hair had turned white. Running a hand through his hair, you frowned. "I'm sorry."

It had been almost a year since that incident. Things changed, your personality and Kaneki's personality. He had turned a bit more cold to you but you still loved him just as much, it just didn't seem to be mutual to him.

"We should end it here." Kaneki said and you dropped your cup onto the ground. Gasping, you bent down and quickly picked up the broken glass but cut your finger on it, blood seeping out. "W-why? Things were going so well..."

"We don't work well as a couple anymore. We're better off alone, I'm better off alone." You sat on the floor watching your blood drip off your hand and onto the floor as your eyes turned colorless. "No, I still love you."

"But I can't give you back that love (F/N), it's the best for the both of us." Walking toward the door, he turned back to look at you one more time. "Thanks for saving me back then." And with that, it was like he never came.

Your body shook as you held yourself, arms wrapping around your body. 'I-It can't be....He c-can't leave..' You screamed and smashed the broken glass with your bare hands as they continued to get cut, but it wasn't like you cared. All you wanted was Kaneki, and you were going to get him.

You stood against a building wearing a long (color) wig with (color) contacts and sunglasses as you waited for Kaneki to exit the building. Soon, he did and you carefully followed him all the way to where he lived.

As soon as he walked inside, you ran over to his house and carefully peeked through the windows to see inside. It was a nice place and it would be better if there was another person living with him, like you.

"Ah, Kaneki you're back!"

Your eyes widened as you heard a soft female voice in his house. Soon, a pretty female came running into his arms as he embraced them back. Your heart clenched as you watched the scene, why didn't he love you but her?

Stepping aside from the house, you walked back to your apartment and prepared for something special. A small present for your love, Kaneki of course.

A week later, you waited at a nearby building and waited for Kaneki to leave the house. And once he did, you made your way into his house by breaking the doorknob. "Kaneki? Did you forget something?" Stomping your way over toward the bedroom, you slammed the door and faced his new lover who looked at you in shock.

"W-who are you?!" She screamed as you ran forward and grabbed her throat, choking her. "You don't belong with him. I do." You coldly said as you squeezed her neck harder, her mouth releasing choking noises.

"H-help." She tried but your grip was too tight on her. "Just shut up, you'll be gone soon anyways."

Soon the stomping was heard in the house and Kaneki popped up at the door, gasping as he saw the two of you. Running, he pushed you aside harshly as he helped his lover get her breath back. You stood aside heartbroken as he neglected you.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry I left, I came back because I had a bad feeling.." He stated as he patted her back trying to help her. Looking up at you, he had a disappointed face on his look which filled you with guilt.

"How could you?"

Words tried coming out of your mouth but nothing worked. A tear slipped down from your cheek and you brought your hands up to cover your face, sobbing. "After all we've been through," Kaneki and his lover looked at you as you broke in front of them. "You've never showed me as much love as you had with her."

Taking a knife from your pocket, you pointed it towards your chest and plunged it forward but in that split second a hand grabbed yours. "What are you doing?" Kaneki said harshly making you step back as he broke the knife.

"I-I...I want to leave the world.." You said half ashamed. Kaneki gave you a kiss on the cheek with a soft smile but you looked at him with a sad, almost crying, expression before you escaped the house.

Running to the highest point of Tokyo, you sat down and looked at the sunset. "If I can't be with the man I love, can I just-" You closed your eyes for a minute and let out a long breath before opening them back. "Die?"
