Sasaki Haise - Lonely

Okay, this was supposed to be fluff but I guess I can only write angst ;(

"Itadakimasu." Clapping your hands together softly, you picked up your chopsticks and began eating the dinner you made. Looking up through your lashes, you were met with the empty chair in front of you once again. You couldn't remember the last time you and Haise had enjoyed a nice meal together, even if it was just coffee for him.

Sitting alone in the silence, your appetite had gone down the past week feeling so alone. You were always in bed by the time he came home and you he would always wake up early in the morning to go to work, you barely saw him. After a quick meal, you covered the leftovers and placed them in the fridge as you killed time to see if Haise would make it intime before you headed off to bed.

Hours passed and it was way late at night and Haise had finally come home from a long day at work. It was normal for him to be out this late from work, but it meant he never got to spend time with his lovely partner (F/N). Quietly, Haise closed the door behind him and locked it before he made his way into the bedroom where you slept quietly.

Turning on the lamp beside the bed, it illuminated the room just enough to not bother you in your sleep. Your back faced him and it put a frown on his face, you were so lonely all the time because he was never around. Quickly changing out of his work outfit, he slipped on some at home clothing before joining you in bed.

As Haise was about to wrap his arm around you, he heard some sniffles coming from you while your body trembled lightly. Turning you to face him, he saw the old tears that had dried and the new tears the were waiting to fall down your cheeks. His heart broke at the sight of you in tears, he wasn't there to stop them before they fell.You grabbed his shirt that you had been secretly holding and covered your face with it before turning around facing the wall again.

"(F/N)?" Haise was filled with guilt at the scene of you. "What's wrong?" Haise asked softly placing a hand on your shoulder, gently rubbing your arm up and down. "Just go to sleep." You responded with a cold voice as you wiped your eyes away with his shirt.

"Is it because of me?" He asked stopping his movements to focus on you. The room was filled with complete silence and slowly, your head nodded as you crouched deeper into your fetal position. Nothing could hurt Haise more than the feeling he was going through now. His super sweet and loving girlfriend was crying because of him. Gently, Haise unfolded you and placed you on his chest as you laid there with your eyes open, tears falling onto his chest.

You didn't want to look at him, so you avoided eye contact; though you wrapped your arms around him and laid there quietly. "Sometime Haise, I don't know why we're together when we're never together." Haise's eyes widened at your statement and you could hear his breath hitch at your sentence. "It's like we're not even dating anymore."

"B-But we are!" Haise replied trying to lighten the mood. You shifted on his chest before glancing up at him, "If you don't have time for me, maybe we should just break up so you could focus on work." Sitting up, you rubbed your eyes and played with your fingers as Haise laid next to you in complete shock still. "I have to deal with you being gone all the time, I get so lonely."

Haise was about to speak up but you still had more stories leaving your lips. "And when I come back home from a bad day of work, there's nobody there to cheer me up! I can't go to you because you're at work so I have to help myself."

"I have to eat dinner by myself everyday. And everytime I look up to see you smiling there at me, you're not and I eat alone. It's not fun eating alone because it makes me not wanna eat."

Haise was stunned. How could he not have known his lover was going through such hard times because he was always working. He wanted to punch himself for neglecting you so much, for making you cry and suffer because he was never there for you. Sitting up, Haise looked over at you who was now wiping new tears away, he was a terrible boyfriend.

"I just miss you so much Haise." You whimper as he sits up and brings you into his arms. "I-I had no idea (F/N), I'm so sorry." Resting his head on yours, he tightened his hold on you as his own tears gathered up in his eyes. "I'll make it up to you."

You glanced over at him waiting for his idea of making it up to you. He hummed and rocked you bath and forth as he kissed your forehead. "I'll not go to work tomorrow so I can spend the day with you, my most lovely partner in the whole world."

"But the CCG needs you." You reply softly. Shaking his head Haise brings his face close to yours, "But you need me more." Your brows arch sadly and you burry your head in his chest, worrying Haise. "D-Do you not want that? Did I do something wrong?"

"Thank you Haise." Arms around his waist, you held him tighter as you took a moment to enjoy the presence of your lover. He smiled and gently laid you down beside him. "Anything for you."
