Jesse's POV

Spending hours upon hours in a confined space tends to make me stir crazy after a while so I needed a break. Fresh air sounded good right about now and after recording all morning it's just what I need.

"Hey guys! I'm gonna go to Starbucks, you want anything?" I got up and walked towards the door. James told me he wanted to go so after we got everyone's orders we headed out on foot to the Starbucks down the street. We didn't really get harassed by the paparazzi this time around so it was a quick walk there.

Once we got to Starbucks there was a long ass line so I decided to people watch as the line shrunk down. Hipsters attached to there laptops, corporate men and women, lady trying to keep track or her kids, hot brunette on her phone, a couple sucking face... wait! Hot brunette looks familiar! It finally clicked!

"Holy fucking shit!" I whisper yelled at James. I can't believe this is happening!

"What?!" He questioned back clearly confused.

"Brunette in the red pants." James started to look around and stopped once he seen her. "That's Monroe Jennings, she was really good friends with Mickey, Adam and myself back in the day. She dated Adam for like 2 years too."

"Go say hi then, she's already looked at me a few times since you got your back turned to her." He said shoving me in her direction. We ordered all the drinks and we stood around for a few seconds before walking closer to her table.

Monroe's POV

"Monroe?" I heard my name being asked. Weird, I already got my drink so who could possible know my name here. Might as well look up I guess. Oh. My. G-

"J-J-Jesse?!" He smiled and I jumped out of my seat and launched myself at him. He welcomed my hug and squeezed me back equally as tight. "I can't believe this is happening right now." I mumbled into his shoulder and he laughed. A throat cleared behind us and we separated.

"Oh, um, Monroe this is James, James this is the lovely Monroe Jennings." Jesse gestured towards me as we exchanged waves. "I've known her since I was 12 and she was 10. We were neighbors until she moved away."

We all talked for about five more minutes before the guys' order was called. James excused himself to grab all of them and walked back to our table and handed Jesse his drink. He stood there waiting for Jesse to finish up what he was saying.

"I'm gonna go get these back to the guys, Jess. It was nice meeting you Monroe." James said while shaking my hand. "Hope to see you again."

"You too, James." I smiled back at him.

"I'll be there in a few. I just wanna hang out with Roe a little longer." Jesse responded while shooting me a smile. James nodded and walked off with the 2 carriers full of coffee in hand. "So what have you been up to the past 8 years since you moved?" Jesse asked with hesitation. He started to mess with the napkin in front of him as he glanced between me and his hands.

"Um, well I've lived back in LA for about 4 years, but I'm a photographer and I run my own photography company down the street. You know I didn't want to move, right? My father thought it was best." He nodded and took a sip of his drink. "What about you Mr. Carmichael? How's the rock star lifestyle?" I smirked at him.

"It's great! Tiring but that's expected, right. We just been recording and touring like nonstop. What happened to the band tee baggy jeans wearing multicolored hair Roe that I use to know? It's weird seeing you dressed girly." Jesse asked gesturing towards my clothes of choice and all I could do was laugh. "Come on, you are coming with me. I need to get back and this conversation isn't over." He grabbed my hand and started pulling me towards the door.

"I don't think that's a good idea, Jesse. I don't want to cause any drama." I pulled back and crossed my arms over my stomach avoiding eye contact with him.

"You won't. If anything he'll avoid you, anyways Mickey is there and he'll be happy to see you." He put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me along until I started walking on my own. I forgot how stubborn he was and how he could get me to do pretty much anything.

"You better be right or I'm gonna kick your ass." I threatened and pointed my finger at him. I continued walking alongside Jesse as we talked about old memories. I really hope everything goes smoothly and this wasn't a mistake.

Adam's POV

Where the hell were these guys at? It doesn't take this long to get coffee. I strummed my guitar a few more times as Mickey and Matt sat on the couch in deep conversation. James came in carrying our 4 drinks but no Jesse in sight. Great he got sidetracked again.

"What happened to Jesse?" I asked as I got my drink. James smiled mischievously at me. Okay, what's going on?

"He seen a girl he use to know and started talking to her so I left him there." He shrugged. "He should be back soon though." He said walking over to the couch with Mickey and Matt.

"Who's the girl?" Mickey asked speaking my mind. "What did she look like?"

"I don't know who she is. He called her a few different names. She was hot though, nice body, brunette, amazing eyes and they seemed excited to see each other." He looked like he was thinking hard for a name. "Marilyn, no, Mary Jane, n-"

"Oh my god! No way! Not possible!" Mickey exclaimed getting up and jumping around.

"What's not possible Mickey? Make sense damn it!" I was trying to think of the girl but nothing was coming to my mind. He wouldn't say anything as he jumped around. We all stopped talking once we heard Jesse's laugh from outside the door and the handle started to turn.

"It's..." Mickey started as the door opened and we see a girl figure being carried on Jesse's back. He sets her down and threw his arm over her shoulders with a big smile on his face. Why is he smiling so big? She looked up after adjusting her purse and smiled at Mickey. Holy shit!
