Monroe's POV

The Next Morning

I woke up earlier than the guys the next morning. I rolled over in bed and I must have forgotten Adam slept in my bed with me. I stifled a squeal by covering my mouth as I stared at him. He was on his side facing me still asleep so I took a minute just to admire him, he's such a beautiful person. I wanted to run my fingers through his hair or touch him in any way but I didn't want to wake him. He was never a morning person so I decided he should wake up by himself rather than me wake him up and be pissed off for the rest of the day.
I slowly slid out of bed and walked over to my dresser to get some sweats and a tank top. I walked into my bathroom and flipped on the light and that's when my head started to really hurt. I was hungover as hell so I pulled out the aspirin from the cabinet and took some before I changed into my comfortable clothes. I left the bathroom with the aspirin bottle in hand because who knew if the guys were going to have hangovers when they woke up or not.
I made my way downstairs as quiet as possible because I didn't want to wake up Matt, who was on the couch. I walked into the kitchen after seeing Matt still asleep and set down the bottle of aspirin. I looked around after standing there for a minute and realized that there wasn't that big of a mess to clean up. This is why I love the people that work for me, they aren't that messy and they have respect for other peoples things. I went to my coffee maker and started to prepare the coffee for the six of us. I grabbed a trash bag from my walk-in pantry and went to the table and started stacking the cups that remained from the beer pong competition that some of the guys I work with started. I was in my own little world as I started to move all the empty bottles to one counter and wiped down the dining table.
"You have a great voice, Roe." I spun around surprised. There stood Matt leaning in the door chuckling at me. I walked up to him and slapped his shoulder before giving him a hug.
"You scared the crap out of me, Matt. I didn't realize I was singing, I was in my own little world. How long were you standing there?" I asked as I picked up the trash bag again throwing a few more cups into it. He walked up and added a few more to the bag before taking it from me.
"Only like a minute but I heard you from the couch and I smelt the coffee." He smiled and pointed to the almost full coffee pot. The kitchen was now clean so he took the bag and started towards the living room.
"You don't have to do that Matt, I got it." I tried to take the bag from him but he held it up and away from me. "Fine, there's not that much in there and I'll bring out your coffee when it's done. Black, right?" He nodded and went into the living room.
It was now 9 o'clock and I heard someone coming down the stairs. James appeared in the doorway holding his head and I laughed at him. "Coffee?" He asked weakly.
"Almost done. Here take some aspirin and Matt's already awake in the living room. I'll bring the coffee to you." I handed him the aspirin and a glass of water before I nudged him out of the kitchen.
The coffee finished and I filled three cups with it before walking into the living room. The guys were sitting on the couch with the bag of cups in front of them. They were deep in conversation before I interrupted and told them to get their coffees. We walked out onto my deck and sat at the table.
"Thanks for the coffee, Roe." James said after taking a sip. "So us two are the ones that barely know you out of the group so tell us about yourself." I smiled and giggled a little.
"Well, I'm 25, I've lived in Los Angeles my whole life except those 4 years spent in Oregon, I'm the daughter of a Sheriff and Interior Designer, I had my son when I was 19 and started my business when I was 21." I shrugged and took a drink of my coffee.
"Okay, enough of the formal shit, tell us something fun." Matt chuckled at me and James nodded agreeing with him. I laughed and thought for a minute.
"Alright, I know how to play most stringed instruments, I'm a yogi, I was the biggest tomboy from 12 to 18." Jesse and Mickey walked out together with a mug in their hand and sat in the chairs surrounding me. Both of them reached for the bottle of aspirin at the same time and I giggled.
"She was, baggy jeans and baggy shirts but instead of a short hair cut her hair color would constantly change every color of the rainbow." Mickey told the guys chuckling. The guys looked at me like they were trying to picture it. I flipped them all off and they laughed at me. Jesse threw his arm over my shoulder and rubbed my arm as he controlled his laughter.
"How about you and Jesse? How long have you two known each other?" Matt asked. I looked at Jesse and he smiled at me before responding.
"Our parents were neighbors, they still are actually, but when she moved into the neighborhood they introduced us. I didn't want to be friends at first because she was a girl 2 years younger than me and the daughter of a cop but we had a few similar interest. After that day we were kind of inseparable but she was like my hidden friend, even Adam and Mickey didn't know about her." I smiled at Mickey and shook my head as Jesse continued. "She met them a month later when they surprise visited me at my house and they seen me next door playing basketball with her in front of her house. They came over laughing at me and Adam started teasing her." I laughed hard along with Jesse and Mickey. Jesse was gasping for air as he went on. "Roe walked straight up to him, punched him in the chest and he fell right on his back." He calmed down the laughter a little. "She straddled him and threatened to kick his ass and the fear on Adam's face was priceless." He looked over at me and smiled before ruffling my hair. "We've been through a lot with each other, we were each others first kiss..." James' and Matt's jaws dropped. "Yeah, Adam didn't really like that. We helped each other through our first real break ups, ran away to each others houses at least once a month and hung out everyday since she was 10 and I was 12. We've been best friends since." Jesse shrugged and all the guys had smiled on their faces.
"Well I'm going to excuse myself and start making breakfast." I scooted out my chair and so did the guys. "You don't have to follow me I'll come get you when it's done." I got up and they stood up too. I smiled and shook my head as they followed me like lost puppies. "You guys are so weird." I smiled and walked into the kitchen.
The guys all stood around as I cooked the bacon and put the biscuits in the oven. They watched my every move like they have never seen anyone cook before. I started to make omelettes for everyone as the guys set the table for me.
"I'm going to go wake up Ad, sorry if he's a grump." Jesse said before walking out of the room. He quickly reappeared in the door. "He's not naked is he?" He looked at me and I laughed.
"Jess, nothing happened last night if that's your way of asking." I smirked at him. "He should be in his boxers and tank top, that's how I left him anyways." Jesse nodded at me before going up stairs. I let the omelette cook as I pulled out more aspirin and a glass of water and set it next to me. I filled up a mug of the still hot coffee and set it next to the glass of water. The guys laughed as they went and sat at the table and we heard a thud come from upstairs. The door slammed and Jesse came running down the stairs and sat at the table with the rest of the guys.
"He's awake." Jesse said with a big grin on his face. My bedroom door opened and I heard feet drag across the floor to the stairs. The guys engaged in their own conversation as I plated the last plate of food. Adam appeared in the door way looking irritated. He was holding his elbow and giving Jesse a death glare as Jesse waved at him with a smirk on his face. I walked over to Adam with the aspirin in one hand and the glass in the other.
"Morning." I smiled at him and he looked at me. I handed him both contents of my hands and kissed his cheek before walking and picking up 2 plates to give the guys. Adam was still standing there when I went to grab 2 more plates. Instead of grabbing the plates I grabbed his coffee and handed it to him then went back to give the guys the other 2 plates. I came back and was about to grab the last 2 but Adam came and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Good morning." He said still sounding half asleep. He kissed the side of my head and took one of the plates from me. I smiled at him as he turned and walked towards the table.
"Fuck being a vegetarian when you have Roe around." Jesse said shoving a piece of bacon in his mouth. I giggled and thanked him for the compliment. We all talked for a few minutes before I heard the front door open and feet scraping on the hardwood floor.
"Shit!" I whisper shouted as I stood up.
