Bailey woke up to see Tanner sitting in the rocking chair beside their bed, holding baby Avery in his arms. He smiled at the little baby as she slept soundly, and rocked slowly on the chair.
Bailey sat up and smiled at him. His smile grew wider when he saw her. Even when she just woke up, she was still the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. Her beautiful blue eyes locked with his, and he felt his heart skip a beat.
"Morning, baby." She said, stretching out her limbs. Tanner smiled again as he readjusted Avery in his arms.
"Good morning, beautiful. How did you sleep?" He asked, and Bailey locked her eyes on his vibrant green ones again.
"Amazingly. Come lay with me."
Tanner let out a chuckle as he stood and placed Avery in her crib. He tucked her under the blanket, placed her stuffed bear beside her, and kissed her forehead. He then took off his T-shirt and laid down beside Bailey. She immediately wrapped her arms around his torso and buried her head into his chest.
"Miss me that much?" He joked, wrapping his arms around her, and she let out a sigh as she smiled into his chest.
