OH & SORRY ITS A SHORT!
(a little refresher of the end of the last chapter)
“Uhm well I guess I should tell you what happened” He said and before I nodded I couldn’t help but think that I wasn’t ready to just accept Aiden back into my life. I wasn’t ready to continue this mission that would most likely end up useless.
“Not yet…” I said as I watched Dom’s eyes widened in shock as he smiled.
“I don’t think I’m ready for that just yet…” I said and he nodded.
“So what do we do in the meantime?” he asked.
“Well you my friend need to go home, shower, shave, and change…” I said as I took Dom’s arm and wrapped it around my neck as I walked beside him on the sand to his car.
“I’m not that bad…” Dom said as I let out a small laugh.
“Sure Dom…lets go. Then you can take me to see a move…and after that I’ll face reality, but let me enjoy this first.” I said and he nodded slowly with understanding.
I couldn’t continue to play this game with myself because sooner or later it was going to get to me.
I just needed a little more time of ignoring the problem, of pretending that everything’s normal and okay. Because the way Dom made it seem, I think there’s a lot more to the story than I think…something to deal with a little bit later…

“So what do you want to do?” he asked and I couldn’t help but smile at the thought that popped into my head so vividly.
“I’m not going to like this am I?” Dom asked already knowing the answer.
“Probably not.” I said with a smirk.

As we stood at the entrance of the carnival I smiled looking at all the bright lights and the rides in the distance.
“A carnival? Really?” Dom asked.
“Yup, its one of my favorite places ever…” I said as I tried to push back all of the memories I shared with Aiden at a carnival. Whenever it came to town he would always take me because he knew how much I loved it.
“Why?” he asked.
“Because it’s the one place you could be a kid and let go and have without worrying about being judged because that’s what everyone does…” I said.
“Oh…I never really went to one.” Dom said as he looked down with sadness in his eyes.
It was moments like this where I truly appreciated my family and the childhood I had knowing that Dom wasn’t as lucky.
“Well aren’t you lucky that you get to experience it with me for the very first time…” I said as I grabbed his hand and watched a bright smile appear on his face.
“Definitely.”

“I’m not going on the ride…” Dom said as we stood on the line for the carousel.
