"Please don't make me do this"

Axel and his mother was parked outside of his school.Axel wasn't ready to face reality again.He'd rather be cooped up in his room,shutting the outside world out

"Axel,we talked about this.You knew it was coming.What are you afraid of,that people will look at you differently"

"Yes!Mom you know I am self-conscious about myself.It is very important what people think of me,especially now.No one is going to want to be my friend and everybody is going to talk about me.I don't wanna put myself under that kind of pressure.... I didn't ask for this mom and neither did you or dad"Axel snapped

Mrs.Rodgers was taken back by Axel's outburst.She felt bad now.Axel was never one be to with the crowd,he always kept to himself and never said much.He's been that way since a kid.When Axel first started school,he cried three weeks straight because he has never been anywhere without his parents,otherwise Jc was pretty cool about it

"Ple-ase take me home"

She sighed heavily before putting the car in gear

'Let's try again tomorrow'

The family sat down for dinner,talking about their day.Axel on the other hand sat quietly.So many things ran through his head.Mostly what happened earlier.Axel wasn't ready to face the world again,he wasn't sure if he ever was.Being blind is the worst thing that has ever happened to Axel.The surgery constantly cross his mind.Maybe his mom was right.What if it didn't work.He be forever blind.So much for getting married

"You okay there Axel,you haven't touched your food"everyone's attention turned Axel

"Yeah I'm not really all that hungry"he murmurs

"What's got you worried son"Mr.Rodgers asked

"Nothing,it's nothing.Can I go to my room now"

Axel stood up from his seat headed to his room with a little from Rosy.He fell onto his bed,letting out a long sigh.It was a long and stress full day for Axel.Sleep is all he wanted to do

"Axel honey what's wrong.Is it about earlier,sweetie I'm so sorry I forced you into that,I totally forgot you felt that way"Mrs.Rodgers rambled

"It's okay mom.I'm just really nervous going back to school.Being the main attraction is very nerve-racking and I really don't want to be in that position again"Axel sighed heavily 

Mrs.Rodgers couldn't imagine what her son was going through.Sure she didn't want to upset him but he couldn't put off school forever.It was very important that he got a good education so that way it would be easier for him to get into  great collages.That's what his parents wanted not Axel.Axel dreamt to be a professional baseball player but he lost all hope the day he found out that he was blind.His world tore apart at last sight 

"Sweetie you know you can't go on forever like this,avoiding your education and-"

"Mom please stop worrying me about that stuff,it doesn't matter.I don't need go to school to find out who I am or be somebody.I'm only 17 years old mom...why do I have to find out now"he snapped 

She sighed and kissed his cheek before leaving

"I don't know what you want Axel but I really do hope you do"
