'I have a date with Alyana?'

He had no idea how that happen. They were only talk last weekend and now they're going on a date? Jc schooled Axel how to handle girls and treat them right. Obviously Axel has never had a girlfriend before. And since Jc had a little more experience from have at least 3 of them, why not help a brother out.

"Be sure to ask what she's interested in. Girls hate when we guys talk about ourselves. Some girls like pick up lines, some don't so you may not have use any. And carry your wallet. Be a gentleman, buy her food. I know mom and dad already gave you money but, here's another $20. Think of it as my blessing."

"Your blessing to what?" Axel laughed

"To date Alyana, obviously"

This makes Axel laugh even harder

"Okay, even though I didn't need it. But thanks. I look okay?"

"If hobo is what you describe okay then yes"

"Hey, I didn't say anything when I let go to school everyday looking like Shrek"

Jc shrinks back, holding on to heart

"Well that was shady. But for real though, you look okay for whatever you guys are doing"

"I don't know but I hope whatever it is, it doesn't require seeing"

Alyana pulled along Axel as they went in and out of the crowd. Axel often bumped into people, earing glares from strangers. The more they walked, the more the ground felt softer. Little grains of crystals, seeped into his shoes. More like sand. They had to be at the beach

"There was a beach festival over there but after all that walking, I figured you must wanted to sit away from the noise"

At least she was being thoughtful. Faint music could still be heard

"You hungry?"

"Yeah, I could go for some food"

Axel than pulled a $20 from his left pocket. He kept the money his parents gave him and Jc's separate

"Bring back whatever they have except hot dogs. I hate those things"

"Really. I've never met anyone who hated hot dogs" Alyana said

"Well hi, I'm Axel Raleigh Rodgers and I hate hot dogs"

"You eat sausage right?" He nods

"I believe sausage and hot dogs are kinda on the same line"

"That's were you're wrong. Sausage is delicious meat that come from pigs while hot dogs come from owners who had very disobedient dogs"

"I'm done. I'm going to get food now"

Axel laughed as she walked away. Maybe this date wasn't as bad as he thought. The things is, would she still be willing to hang out with him if he told her that he was blind

After 10 minutes, Alyana walked back with food. She put it on the blanket she had brought

"I got me corn dogs and you two slices of pizza. You do eat pizza right?"

She joked. Axel scrunched his nose and ate his pizza in peace. Alyana watched him eat messy

She spotted some sauce at the corner of his mouth. Licking her thumb, she stroke the sauce off. Alyana held his cheek in her palm, caressing it

Axel felt her nose brushed against his. Her lips weren't far

Axel suddenly pulls away. What was he thinking. Alyana felt slightly rejected

"I'm sorry"

"No, don't. It's me" he sighed heavily

"Alyana I have something to tell you. And after I do, you're not gonna want to be seen with me ever again"

"If you're trying say that I wouldn't want to be seen with you because you are blind then you're foolish mistaken"

Axel was taken back. She knew?! But how? Axel never told her and coach Shayna promise not to tell either. Who did?

"No one told me Axel. I figured it out by myself"

"But how?"

"Well since we've first talked and including tonight, I've noticed that you never look at me when you speak, you searched for your food, you always hold onto someone when you walk, and your eyes are what helped me. Seeing them standing next to you, it's hard to tell. But when you're as close as I am, you see that there are tiny scars in them. Almost like broken glass that hasn't fallen apart"

"You've studied this since we've met?"

She nods

"And more. Just because you're blind Axel doesn't mean no one will ever hang with you. I actually had fun tonight. You're a funny, charming, and sweet guy Axel. I've never came across a guy like you before"

Axel smiled and looked at Alyana. She gasped when he looked directly at her

"And you're annoying...and lot of others but I guess that's why I like you"

His fingers rose to her lips, stroking them softly. He then leaned in, colliding his lips with her. Alyana smiled and kissed back
