Lys—now called Sven, sitting on the bench within the tree shade in the palace wide flower garden. Hands caressing a stalk of a full bloomed rose, feeling its petal on his hand. He enjoyed the feelings and the scents its giving off.

He have been staying at the palace for a couple days, and getting along very well with Prince Kevin. Communicating with the humans is hard, so Kevin offered to teach him personally, because he’s better at teaching it to other and because he want to know Lys better.

Lys is a fast learner. He taking in everything Kevin teach him, practicing, and showed up his hard work to Kevin, and every time he do that, he earned a smile from the human, which making him blush and making Kevin to ask him if he’s okay with worried face.

Kevin, the human Prince had tell him what the flower called on sign language, along with other things that caught his eyes when he escorting him for a walk around the palace. Though his feet felt really hurts like the Sea Witch told him it would, he never thought that it would be that hurt. He didn’t know what she mean by 'pierced by a thousand needle' then, but now he did.

Every steps he took, he felt the pain all over his feet, stabbing his skins as he walks, sweats covering his face as he did, but he always smiled at the prince, never let the pain showed from his face.

Lys is happy his loved one is just like what he imagined him to be. Kind, gentle, smart… although he never imagined him to be a mute. Thinking back, he thought of the reason why the Sea Witch want his voice. To harder his life mission to get the Prince to love him or to let them knew each other more easily? Or there’s no reason at all? Just her wanting his voice for who knows what for.

After he felt better from his pain attack from the potion the Sea Witch gave him, Kevin take him to a walk every evening around the palace and accompanying him whenever he had time.

After staying on the land for some time, he learned that things are very much different from the sea kingdom where he lived.

He couldn’t do a lot of things he easily can do underwater. At first he forgotten that he have legs and his first steps is done with so much sweats, tripping in his feet and cursing on his head, worrying both Kevin and Hagen.

He really need to learn about table manner and how to dress properly, and to bowed to the monarch and all things he never done or seen before. But the foods were good, he admit.

He also can’t do whatever he want and said everything he want anymore since he’s now just "a mute stranger that the Prince save”.

He’s just a peasant. A guest of the Palace. Not a Prince, or a mer-man.

The royalties treat him good aside from the look he got for his strange behavior, because of his gifts for them that Kevin told him worth a lot of money. He said that he should take it back with him, but he refused to do so and told him that it didn’t mean anything for him.

He also learned that Kevin relationships with his parents wasn’t that good, and his brother is somewhat distant, but they do care with each other although they didn’t showed it much. Hagen, the royal physicians is the only one that really close to Kevin and he trust him the most.

Lys sniffing the flower stalk, enjoying its slightly sweet fragrance, something he couldn’t do when his nose full with the smell of the salty water. He still waiting for Kevin to finishing his lessons with his tutor so they can ‘talk' and learn more things about each other.

He’s so caught up with what he do, and almost getting a heart attack when he felt someone tap his shoulder, dropping the flower in the process.
