24 hours in...

Josh heard his phone ringing. He grabbed it and accepted the call, too lazy to see who it was.

?: Josh, where are you?

J: Debby?

D: Well, duhh.

J: I'm out of town.

Josh did not want to deal with her right now.

D: Why didn't you tell me?

J: I didn't know I had to.

D: You don't...

J: I'm driving right now, so I gotta go.

D: Call me later?

J: ...Sure

Josh hung up. He threw his phone to the passenger seat with no intention of calling anyone back. God, he was so tired right now.

27 hours in...

Josh stopped for gas, buying a water bottle and using the bathroom in the process.

29 hours in...

Josh pulled off the highway and went to the first fast-food restaurant he saw. It was an Arby's. He ordered a burger and left.

34 hours in...

He was so close, but he needed gas. He pulled off the highway and saw a 7-11. He pulled into it and began filling up his tank. He checked the time on his phone and saw he had a text from Jenna.

Jenna: Tyler needs you. A fan recognized him and asked him about you and I had to roll him to his room cause he had a panic attack. And then, he went to write a letter, and had another panic attack. I know you'll be here next week, but if you don't mind, could you at least write him back? Call him? Anything? I'm not going to mail anymore letters that he writes.

Josh wanted to text back that he was an hour and a half away from the hospital, but his hands refused to text back.

Josh felt terrible. After all these years, Tyler was still having panic attacks about him...

Josh climbed back into his car, heading out towards the hospital. He knew it was a long shot, but maybe this was all in his head. Maybe Josh was the medicine Tyler needed. Maybe tøp was the mysterious disease.
