PL: Barcelona - miasto w północno-wschodniej Hiszpanii, nad Morzem Śródziemnym, stolica prowincji o tej samej nazwie oraz wspólnoty autonomicznej Katalonii. Drugie co do wielkości miasto Hiszpanii. Główny ośrodek przemysłu kraju (samochody, komputery, prod. chemikaliów, przetwórstwo żywności) i finansowy regionu. Ma duży port morski oraz port lotniczy – Prat de Llobregat (dwa terminale). Miasto wraz z aglomeracją ma około 4 200 000 mieszkańców. Jest największą metropolią nad Morzem Śródziemnomorskim oraz plasuje się na szóstym miejscu w Unii Europejskiej za Paryżem, Londynem, Zagłębiem Rury, Madrytem oraz Mediolanem. Barcelona to najbardziej turystyczne miasto w Hiszpanii oraz jedno z czołowych na całym świecie z powodu prawie idealnego klimatu oraz dobrego położenia (nad morzem oraz 100 km od wysokich gór Pireneii).

It has a large seaport and the airport - Prat de Llobregat (two terminals). The city together with the agglomeration has about 4,200,000 inhabitants. It is the largest metropolis on the Mediterranean Sea and ranks sixth in the European Union behind Paris, London, the Tube Region, Madrid and Milan. Barcelona is the most tourist city in Spain and one of the leading in the world because of the almost perfect climate and good location (by the sea and 100 km from the high mountains of the Pyrenees).
