"Who's party is this anyways?"

I turned to my best friend, Theodosia Burr, as we walked down the empty streets. She had snuck out just to go to this birthday bash... and drag me along.

"Philip Hamilton's! Why else would I have to sneak out? Dad hates Alexander now so... yeah."

"Everyone hates His father. I'm surprised there's so many people coming."

"Yo, Philip is Mr. Cool around school. On the football team, really good rapper, charm levels are at 9000, nice hair,  bla bla bla!"

"Well, you obviously like him. Remember, no funny business or I'm snitching."

She threw her head back and groaned
"I don't like him!"

"Whatever..."

We opened the door, just to be greeted by a sign.

Presents to the left, party down the hall.

Theo ran and dropped off the gift before pulling me down the hall.

First things first was the living room. Rap music blasted from a DJ booth while people grinded, twerked, and had a good time on the dance floor. It was quite a sight. Theo broke away from me and whispered,

"You can leave whenever, Y/N but don't make it too soon. Text me when you do leave, just in case."

The kitchen. It was quieter and surprisingly not full of drunk people. I guess they decided to obey the law for once, seeing as that we were underage. It wasn't as bad as the other rooms, really. I stayed there and whipped out my phone to look and see if there was anything cool going on on snapchat.

Someone slid in the seat next to me just as I opened my fifth can of soda. I turned for a greeting, automatically knowing where this would go, but the previous man was pushed off as soon as I looked up.

My eyes widened as the previous man fell and I rushed out of my chair to help him up.

"Jesus Christ, you okay?"

The man nodded and I heard someone growl behind me.
"Ignore me then, alright."

I looked over my shoulder with a glare. It was the same man who just pushed this guy out of his chair.
"I'll happily ignore a man who thinks it is acceptable to just push a guy out of his claimed chair."

"Miss, thanks for defending me, but he's just my brother. It's alright, honestly!"

"Oh!" I gasped and let go of the man's hand, causing him to fall back again. I flinched
