I swore I felt my heart stop when I heard his velvet voice Say those five words that made me feel Like I was floating in the clouds.

"What are you listening to?"

His eyes were fuzzy and looked dull as he leaned against the brick wall next to me
With one arm
Propped higher up
While the other ran freely through his honey hair.

They were pretty though,
His eyes,
Like a rare constellation that only came once in a life time, arrayed across a beautifully carved face.

He smelled like smoke And Axe

And his skin looked fairer up close with little freckles that dotted his nose

And a beauty mark on his chin.

He looked like one of those people in the Movies that seemed so Unreal. But there was something normal about him, something that made me feel like I was one of those people In the movies.

"Slow hollows," I pushed my Tortoise shell glasses up As my eyes focused On his pretty hazel eyes as the music coaxed me into what seemed like a dreamy fantasy.

When his finger brushed against
The shell of my ear
When he grabbed and earbud that was
Slung behind my ear I felt like millions of butterflies swarmed all over me and my eyes became hazy for that sweet moment.

Suddenly I felt insecure about my song choice, thinking he thought my taste was bland

Or weird

Or anything that wasn't like his.

But When he smiled....

I felt like I had experienced all the happy moments i had had.

Like a buzzing and exciting and soothing feeling.

And then he looked at me and I felt insecure and awkward and
Insecure again.

So I focused on his smile feeling the moments surge through me unconsciously letting a smile slip through as I joined him leaning against the brick wall

Smiling small
And looking at the brightest constellation with a
Single earbud tucked into my ear

With music coursing through me as I

Looked at the boy that made me remember.
