Candace's POV

I couldn't stop smiling as I paced back and forth in my room. Gary and I were on the phone.

"Can I be completely honest with you, Candy?"

"Of course." I laid on my back and held my leg up (A/N: this the kinda stuff I do when I'm on the phone lmao).

"We been talking for a lil minute and I really wanna take this to the next level. I like you, I like you alot."

"I like you too, but this is all new to me." I told him honestly.

"I don't want anything to change between us. I feel like we just adding a title and a few kisses from here and there. You ight with that?"

I bit my lip as I thought of how his lips would feel against mine. "Yeah."

I could feel him smiling. "I gotta come see you now."

"You serious?"

"Hell yeah, your daddy home?"

"No, he's at work."

"That's perfect. Let's go somewhere."

"Like where?"

"We'll figure it out. Give me a few minutes, be ready."

We said our goodbyes and I called Lena.

"Lena's tea line." She answered.

"How you know I got some tea?"

"I felt it in my spirit. What happened?"

"Iz gotta man now!" I said way too excited, with my tongue out.

"BITCH! Finally!" Lena yelled. "We gotta celebrate."

"Not today, me and Gary going somewhere."

"Oh okay, already forgot about me," she teased. "Tell me how that goes boo."

"You know I will. I gotta go."

"Alright, bye."

"Bye." I hung up the phone and there was a knock on the door.

I ran to answer it. Then took a moment to compose myself and opened it.

There stood Ronny.

My smile fell a little.

"Hello to you too. Expecting someone else?"

"Actually, yes."

He nodded. "Oh, my bad then."

It was awkward as we just stood at the door.

"Did you like that food at Chili's?"

I rolled my eyes. "I don't need you checking on me."

"You know Ima do it anyway."

"I didn't throw it up. Happy?"

"Ecstatic. Who we waiting on?"

"I'm waiting on my boyfriend."

"Boyfriend? I just seen you yesterday and you ain't have a boyfriend."

"It just happened today."

Things got even more awkward when Gary's car pulled in the driveway. He got out and came over to me with a grin.

"Wassup baby?" He embraced me in his arms, squeezing me real tight.

"Hey." I blushed.

Ronny cleared his throat. Here we go.
