Dear Diary,
There are exactly 10 days before Christmas Eve/Hanukkah, diary! I am out of the hospital just on time!! I am going to dance to Christmas songs and watch Rudolph and play with dreidels and in ten days, Daddy will light the menorah! And all my friends are wonderful, and my family and pets are happy, and our class got a goldfish, and life couldn't be better! Isn't it weird how things go from terrible to wonderful so quick, diary? It's as though one minute you have reached rock bottom and the next you're sky high! I don't know what will happen, Diary, and I don't think it will be good, either. But I will enjoy right now, because right now is what matters.
