Donovan POV

Once I pack all my stuff I go and head out to pick Ashles up. Once I get to her house she runs out and jumps in the car. "Wooo there speedy Gonzalez! Chill we are just going to the mall." I say chuckling a little. Ashles then says, "You have to get a haircut! Then we can go to hot topic and a million other places!!"

"Gosh Ashles you're so excited it's like someone got you tickets to see Melanie Martinez! Once we see the mall she scopes out the parking lot to find the nearest parking space ''This is perfect! Ashles gets and pulls me to this hair shop called Banana Man. I look at her like with a that wierd 'what kind of name is that' kind of look? "Don't question it Damian, I know its a weird name." She takes me to this guy at the back of the shop and he decked out in yellow with a banana hat. Ashles tells Taylor that I need a haircut and it should be a faux hawk

I don't object since a faux hawk sounds cool. I'm so excited to see what it looks like afterwards, so after a bit of buzzing and cutting,finally I get shampooed up and look in the mirror--I'm passing hella good right now and ask Ashles what she thinks. ''You look awesome!'' I still can't believe this is happening, even more so with my bestie, I'm so happy about this, just then,one of my favorite stores comes to mind "LETS GO TO SPENCERS!"I grab her hand and run through the store til we get to spencers and I go and pick up all of my favorite band tee shirts Nirvana, BMTH, Royal Blood, Slipknot, The Beatles., I also get a couple of supernatural,doctor who,and harry potter shirts, like the nerdboy that I am. And I go grab jeans all from the guy section and I'm not getting questioned on my gender best day of my life so far. I walk out of Spencers with some bags and also see Ashles has some. "Come on let's go. We should get a move on. I mean we can go to the mall when we get to the place we  are living.'' She says okay and we jump in the car for our next destination

--Time skip on the road trip--

We get to the apartment I bought in Creek Falls a small town that my aunt Lisa used to live in before she died. We get upstairs to the apartment and was nicely furnished. After looking around and getting settled in Ashles and I decide it's time to talk. "So...Ashii..I start out using her childhood nickname,

--I know this is all fairly new to you..so you have any questions..please feel more than free to ask and I will do my best to answer you..You probably have at least some questions for me, so don't be afraid to ask them..

"Okay..you are right, I do have some questions, but more so that I can understand and know what to expect..so like..are you getting on T...are you going to save for top surgery...are you getting bottom surgery..how are you going to afford all of this since you don't like asking people for money??? Are you sure you want to stick with the Name Donovan? When do you plan to get it legally changed? How long have you known you are a guy? Were you ever planning on telling me?...Sorry...I know it's alot of questions, So I will let you answer before asking any more" ^^:

"Okay, So I'm going to answer these in the order you asked them in. Yes,I am getting on T, and while you were packing, I called and made an appointment to see a Gender therapist about it tomorrow-you can come with if you would like.., I will be getting top surgery...as for bottom, I am going to wait til they are more...advanced..and yes I know this is all very expensive and I don't like asking for money which brings me to the next thing...I came out to my Parents...and they gave me all the money needed for T,surgery,clothes,a house,college, and to bring you with me. I have known that I was a guy since I was a little boy, You don't remember this but when we met, I told you my name was Donovan but everyone called me Darla, you just shrugged though and joined me in playing cops and robbers ''Omg!! I thought I just imagined that!" "yeah well..it really did happen...I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with Donovan or not, alot of people who go through name changes can name jump til a name suits them, and I was going to tell you..but I needed to mentally prepare myself because you are my best friend, and I didn't want to lose you by wording everything wrong..I was really scared that you would hate me and that like everyone else you might think this was a choice when it was anything but a choice...

Ashles hugged him, ---I could never hate you Damian, I love you, your the very best friend I could have. I'm really proud of you and I'm SO happy that your parents are so supportive! That's amazing Damian and I just know that this is all going to work out in your favor^^; You are a strong man.

"Awwwwhhh. Thanks Ashii. that means alot to me and I love you too, you are my best friend too, anyways, I don't really feel like unpacking, so maybe we can go to a nerd store, and I can read some harry potter books while I watch you act silly and jam out to Melanie Martinez?

--THAT.WOULD BE.AMAZING!! So with that being said we jumped in the car and went to Barnes and Nobles. Just as I was about to sit down, I noticed this really cute guy looking around the store with amazement, but with a look that seemed like..he loved to read but just didn't know what to get, I decided, it would be rude to stare, and I could have been completely wrong in my assumption, so it would be best to just drink my coffee and read my book.

This has been revised, soley because I love detail, and I needed to tweak the conversation a bit more to fit the characters, the other author though gave me a great start and I'm super excited to see what comes from this new character!
