There's a lot of different between Asl which is American Sign Language and BSL which is of course British sign language.
Some BSL signs are actually similar to ASL even though the majority of signs from ASL is mostly one handed.
Here is the ASL Alphabet:
And below here is the BSL Alphabet:
This above is right handed but you would do the same as with your left like so:

Believe me once you've learned sign language it is worth it. It looks brilliant on your curriculum vitae! And employers would really see this as a good skill!
