Chapter 35 Sean's pov

"Where should I begin?" I asked Ryan as we leaned against a tree. "The beginning would be nice." He stated as I chuckled, "Yes that would be a good place to start." Closing my eyes I smiled to myself.

"It all started when I was tasked to sort and examine personal files within the school. As I was there I accidentally caught Mei in the act of attempting to steal her file. At first the thought was strange to me, but there she was holding a file in broad day light. "

My eyes drifted to Ryan, one to make sure he was still listening and two to make sure he understood. "So wait. She was in there?! How did she get the key if you-?" I shrugged, "I'm not sure of that one myself. But all I know was she was there, she was just as shocked to me as well. I'm betting she thought no one would ever catch her."

"So what, did she try to make you help her steal the file?" I shook my head, "No she pleaded that I don't tell a single soul that the great Mei Winter was caught in the filing room at all. I said I really didn't care about her so called title and she ran. I had no reason to stop her." Ryan pouted at my statement.

"Oh come on! I think not going after her was a mistake." I rolled my eyes, "Some would say that, but I was indeed curious. I decided to look around the filing room to check out what she was attempting to steal. As I was flipping through her file I noticed something odd and decided to call her out. Remember the day I whisked passed you and you asked what I was up to?"

Ryan nodded, "Yea. I do, I thought that whole thing was rather odd. " I shrugged in defense. "Well I was confronting Mei on her file. The whole report was filled with nothing higher then a C! Well expect for one class." I watched Ryan's face contort into shock. "Your kidding right?" I shook my head and continued.

"Well from then on we made a bet. If she won I had to go in the grade book and change her grade from awful to awesome, but if I won she had to stop dressing like a princess for a whole month."

He nodded understanding, suddenly his face changed. "Wait then that would mean you won right? She came in today wearing normal cloths!" I nodded giving him a sad smile. "So what was the bet any way?" Bitting my lip I looked him in the eyes.

"Who ever falls in love with the other person first loses." I muttered under my breath praying Ryan wouldn't hear me. "Your kidding. That would mean. Dude! You got the great and powerful Mei Winter to fall in love with you! Do you know how big this is?"

I nodded once again expect my head stays lowered. "So if you won, why aren't you shouting with glee or at the very least smiling?" I shrug, "After everything that we've been through. I feel like in the end i lost, not her."

Ryan raised an eye brow, "You fell in love with Mei." I nodded starring up at the sky, "Then tell her." I turned my head stunned to here those words coming out of his mouth. "Your kidding right? Do you hear the words coming out of your mouth right now?"

"Yes i can hear them and as much as that pains me to say. If you really love the girl it shouldn't matter how popular she is. Besides she lost so that would mean she feels the exact same way." To stunned to answer i watch Ryan stand lifting his arms to the sky.

"Look this is just high school. In ten years no one will remember the nerd that went after the Queen. So go on. Find her." Smiling I gave Ryan a high five before running off.

He was right I needed to tell her my feeling. I had to tell her.
