Falling in love with a geek was not part of the plan

Chapter 7 Mei's Pov

HA! HA! HA! I did it my plan is in action and he has no idea what's going on! I'm a complete genius! I felt a tap on my shoulder while I was snickering to myself.

"Whatcha laughing at?" Liz asked as she sat down next to me. "Oh nothing," oh shoot I thought she almost had me there! I can't let any one find out I'm having this little competition with that nerd! "So what's up?" She smiled "There's a foot ball game tonight do you want to come with me?"

I nodded well I go not because of the foot ball or the players, but because of the marching band. I love the music and mostly the drum line. I use to play the drums I quit because of my social status, but I still love to hear them. As I talked to Liz in the hallway by my locker I noticed a blur run through then I recognized him. The geek.

"Um Liz I will meet you at the front door so we can go to the foot ball game k?" She nodded and with that I bolted after the nerd. Man this nerd is fast! But wait he is slowing down! I looked around and saw the bottles. Of course no nerd can make it through with out having to hold their breath!

I reached out my hand to grab him, but missed? Looking up I see him getting pulled through by another male."You look like you need saving right?" A voice asked him as he sighed "You have no idea." I stopped at watched to two walk off to a group of people.

Before turning I saw a pair of eyes match mine. With out a word I turned and walked to the front door where Liz was waiting for me. "So what happened?" She asked, but I didn't have a clear answer my self.

Why did I chase after my enemy? Why did I care about his safely as he ran through? Why did I just see him as he ran and why did I only focus of catching him? An answer about this is not within my reach yet, but it will soon. I hope.

Liz and my self walked to the field where most of the school was. Foot ball here is a really big deals when there's a home game every body is really excited. I am not a big foot ball fan, but Liz was so I went with her all the time. I smiled at her as she picked our seats so we would have a good view.

Usually in the hallways or any where the populars always get the best spots, but a games any seat is fair game. So right as Liz got there she bolted to the perfect spot well the spot she claimed perfect. I rolled my eyes and followed her.

Right as we got there the opening part started with the band, color guard, Poms (a dance group) and the cheer leaders coming out to welcome the players. I heard every body scream and shout as the players come out.

Then I notice him. No way that geeks in the drum line! As I listened to them play i payed the most attention to the drum line to see if he would mess up on any thing, but no surprise he didn't. As I thought is was perfect in time with everybody else.

As I studied them, but mostly him I saw his eyes flicker to mine and just for a moment we made eye contact. I looked down to get away from that strong gaze of his. *heart beat* no way I can feel my heart beat pick up!

But that's not all that worried me. That geek didn't look so good. Was he sick or something? I hope not I don't want him to get..... WAIT WHAT AM I SAYING!

I shouldn't care for him in this way! It's like the hall way all over agin! I started messing up My hair in frustration. "Um Mei are you ok?" I looked over atLiz who probably thinks I'm crazy right now.

"Yes. I'm fine just thought of what my wardrobe is going to be and I can't decide between a pink blouse or a white one." I smiled as she had a pitiful look on her face

Then started to laugh " is that all? Well then carry on but don't worry to much were facing out rivals today in the match.

I nodded as turned back and watched the line disappear to the out side gates to get ready.

How is he doing it? How is he making my pulse speed up just from that gaze of his. I bit my lip this isn't good! Not good at all! I am not falling for that arrogant nerd!

I shook my head no, no ,no ,no I said as I shook that idea out of my head. This can not be happening! Looked over a Liz once more and found her with a worried look on her face.

Oh boy I need to figure this out and quick.

Sean's Pov
Ok as we got out there I remember how filled the stands were every game. I scanned the area for a certain person, whoa whoa whoa. I should not be looking for Mei of all people! "Hey you ok?" Asked one of the people that is next to me in the line.

I nodded, but again that was a complete lie. I felt even worse than before, but I can't tell them that! I just have to play it off. "Are you ready?" Mr. W asked us We answered back by hitting our drums. He nodded and pointed for us to go.

As we kept a steady beat we marched the players into the stadium of people, before we marched back we stood in front of our stand and played there for a bit and that's when I saw her.

Oh gosh she's here what should I do? Then our eyes met in awkward eye contact and almost on cue we both looked down horrified that we even pin pointed each other in all the people. *last drum hit* and with that we started marching back.

We got back and broke until the opening thing starts. "So was the stands packed?" I heard Ryan ask I nodded not wanting talk thinking my condition might get worse if I spoke. "Really?! That's so cool that we get to perform in front of all those people! Right?" He slapped my back

Oh gosh I think I going to be sick. I nodded and then walked away hoping I wouldn't puke on the drum or worse on any one else here. I sat by a tree and closed my eyes hoping a little time sitting down would help me to feel better.

I sighed oh gosh why do I have to feel like this at a time like this. It would have been fine if it was during the day but now it the worse time! "Hey Sean you don't look so good." I snapped my eyes opened and looked right into the brown eyes of Vince.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I said as I got up from the ground and started to walk away from him "yes you do you look horrible and plus your turning pale as a statue." He said as he pointed to my face

I looked away hoping everything he said wasn't true. I didn't want to be sick and I couldn't be sick! I sighed "please Vince don't tell ant one about this ok?" "And why shouldn't I? Sean your sick and need to go home."

Turning I looked him straight in the eyes "I'm really serious please don't tell any one not even Subein or Mary!" He sighed "Fine I won't tell any one, but if you start feeling really bad then tell me ok?" I nodded "Ok."

The rest of the night I started to feel better thanks to a lot of fresh air that took out the horrible chemicals. That I was very grateful about.

I really didn't care about foot ball like the rest of my school, but I still enjoyed watching it some what. My friends also weren't big fans so we usually just talked about stuff.

But this time I was the most curious about was what Mei does during foot ball games. I would assume she goes all out because she was a popular. Maybe she even has a boyfriend that's player why else would she be in the stands.

Next time I see her I should ask, wait no she would never tell me so easily! Then I will just force her to tell me. Whoa what have I turned into?! Never mind I just have to focus for another ten minutes and then I can go home and have a decent week end.

Well at least that's what I thought.
