Steve Johnson's P.O.V

As the weeks turned to months, my blood began to boil in my veins. The plans I believed were foolproof, blew up in my face. First, Sawyer screwed up. When that preposterous bodyguard stepped foot in my way, she undoubtedly earned herself a spot on my list. Right under Robby Daniels. When I sent my men to exterminate the problem, it would seem that fate had different plans. I chuckled bitterly.

" What is it that you want us to do, sir?" Tom, one of my men, asked. I paused. What exactly was there to do? All of my other "Brilliant" plans have been nothing but problems for me. Nothing seemed to work as long as the insufferable bodyguard was still breathing.

" I want that damn woman out of the way. I don't care how, just give me enough time to get my grasp upon Robby's daughter. After that, it'll be smooth sailing boys." I smirked. I heard a few grunts of acceptance.

" When do we set your plan into motion?" Tom asked. I rubbed my chin in thought.

" Tonight, we head out tonight." I answered.

Quinn's P.O.V

Breathe. I ordered to myself. I couldn't. I attempted, I really did, but it seemed that my lungs refused to cooperate. My eyes were shut tightly. I couldn't open them. My whole body was tense to the point of painful. The air was thick with tension. After the initial shock wore off, I cautiously opened my eyes.

Robby had a confused look on his face. His eyes were focused on his empty hand. I released the breath I was unintentionally holding. That sliced through the silence like a knife. Guns were pulled out, and all hell broke loose. I dove to the ground and covered my head. Shouts were echoed throughout the warehouse. I chanced a glance up, and I blanched. Robby had a gun in his hand, and he was firing at Steve Johnson, but that wasn't what caused me to pale considerably. Vivian was stock still in the middle of crossfire.

" VIVIAN!" I shouted. My shout caused three things to happen at once. The first, Vivian broke out of her trance. Next, Robby stopped his firing to check on his daughter's safety. Lastly, Johnson seized his opportunity. Everything seemed like slow motion for everyone in the warehouse, as the trigger was pulled, and a howl of pain ripped from Robby's throat. He went down.

" DAD!" " DADDY!" " FATHER!" I heard three different shouts simultaneously. Time stopped as I witnessed Vivian, Rodrick, and Jason throw caution to the wind, and broke off into a run to their father's side.

" Please no. No, no, no. Please, God no!" Vivian sobbed. Her sobs brought tears to my eyes. I felt as though I was invading a private moment. I guess I was. I guess we all were. I had to look away. My eyes landed on a fallen body. I squeezed my eyes shut. I wished I never opened them. I opened them once again, and I saw he still had a gun in his hands. He passed away loyally. I don't know why, but I prayed for him. I wasn't very religious. I rarely ever prayed, but in this time, I felt it necessary. After my silent prayer, I grasped the gun, and hoisted myself from the ground.

" Please don't leave me. Please? Daddy!" Vivian's voice was so sharp, it cut through me. My eyes closed once again of their own accord. When they opened, I saw a man sneaking his way up behind Vivian. I didn't hesitate in the slightest as I raised the gun, aimed for his head, and shot. Blood flew, as his body sank.

I glanced around. There were still quite a few men on Robby's side still alive. There were fire in their eyes for their fallen leader. When I focused, I was surprised slightly at the appearance of Sage and Ashley. Sage was taking cover while shooting, and Ashley had a phone in her hands. Presumably calling an ambulance. What are they doing here? I shrugged it off, and I ran towards the fallen Daniels.
