It was finally the morning of the battle and Taeyeon was a nervous wreck. She worried about her family but most importantly, she worried about Emmett. She knew she would be fine as this was nothing she hadn't been through before but the feeling of knowing that someone was going to get hurt haunted her. She didn't know who it was but she knew someone was going to get hurt. It felt like a weight on her shoulder.

"You ready to go sis?" Annabeth asks from the doorway. The young brunette was wearing black jeans, a black too and a leather jacket with her weapons fitted around her waist. Taeyeon was wearing the same but she had decided to put her hair up, whereas Annabeth was wearing her hair down.

Taeyeon sighed, "As ready as I'll ever be."

Annabeth frowned at her older sister, Tae was usually the optimistic one out of the two, "What's wrong?"

"You ever get that feeling like something is going to happen but you don't know what? I know someone is going to get hurt and I have no idea who. I'm worried that I won't be able to stop it."

Annabeth walked up to her sister, hugging her. She pulled away, smiling, "I know you better than anyone and I understand why you're worried but you have to understand that you can't prevent something you haven't been shown. I know you're scared that someone you care about is going to get hurt but you can't stop something that's suppose to happen from happening, even if you want to. Breathe. You've got this."

"Thank you. I don't know what I would do without you."

"You're welcome. It's about time I return the favour."

The battle was nearing a finish and most newborns had been taken care of. However, Taeyeon couldn't help but feel her heart tighten in her chest. Someone was going to get hurt and she didn't know who. While caught up in her own thoughts, a newborn appeared in front of her. She didn't have time to react before he reached for her but before he could, Taeyang had sliced his head off.

"Anytime, baby sis," he spoke, winking at her. Taeyeon shook her head at her brothers childishness but was grateful as he did just save her life. She looked around to see that all the newborns had been taking care of and that everyone was fine. She couldn't help but be relieved, however that was short lived.

"Jacob!" She turned to face were the noise was coming from and saw that Jacob was lying on the ground, clutching his side. The Pack had surrounded him, trying to calm him down. She walked over to them as Annabeth was trying to heal him. She couldn't help but freeze. She couldn't understand why she wasn't shown this.

"The Pack needs to leave. The Volturi will be here soon." The Pack slowly lifted up Jacob carrying him away. Both her siblings followed the Pack as she knew their imprints would need them. She had been so stuck in her own thoughts that she hadn't realised that Emmett had come up behind her.

"I'm so glad you're okay," he whispered in her ear.

Taeyeon sighed, turning around to hug him. She buried her face in his chest, "Me too." The pair hugged each other tightly, calming their nerves. Emmett had been terrified but was grateful that she was fine. As much as Taeyeon hated to say it, she was glad that Emmett wasn't the one hurt. She couldn't understand why she didn't see Jacob hurt but knew that everything happened for a reason.

The whole family walked into the clearing, waiting for the Volturi to arrive. Soon they were faced with Jane, Alec, Demetri and Felix. Taeyeon had always hated the Volturi as she knew how much they wanted her but they knew she could kill them all so they stopped pursuing her. Taeyeon had noticed a young girl hiding and by the looks of it so had the Volturi.

"Who's this?" Jane questioned.

"Her names Bree and we have offered her refuge," Carlisle explained.

Jane smirked, "That wasn't for you to offer. Who created you?"

"I don't know. Riley didn't tell us anything," Bree stuttered. Taeyeon could see how nervous Bree was. She knew that Bree had no idea what was going on and for what purpose she was created. She was an innocent child brought into this world due to a selfish woman. Taeyeon could feel Jane using her powers in Bree but created a shield around her.

Jane turned to glare at the Cullen's but her eyes widening when they landed on Taeyeon, "Taeyeon Kim. I should have known you would try to protect her." Jane had always hated Taeyeon due to Aro's obsession with her. She couldn't understand what was so important about the demi-god.

Taeyeon smirked at the bewildered girl, "You definitely should have. However I'm not letting you hurt this girl and she is now under my protection. I will not let you hurt her."

"Are you going to stop me?"

Taeyeon scoffed, "You know I am. I mean, I almost killed you once, don't think I won't do it again. You will not hurt this girl and I will not repeat myself."

Jane glared at the brunette before turning her head to Bella, "I see you're still human?"

"A date had been set," Bella tried to state confidently. Jane looks at Taeyeon one last time before the rest of the guard leaves. Esme and Carlisle had walked up to Bree, talking to her. Taeyeon knew that they would send her to the Denali's to help her adapt to life as a vampire.

Emmett sighed next to her, "Never do that again. They could have hurt you." Due to the battle that had occurred earlier, he was more protective of her and hated that she put herself in danger.

"I know you're worried, Emmett but I know how to take care of myself. They couldn't have hurt me even if they wanted to. I'm stronger than them. Trust me when I tell you I will be fine."

"I'm holding you to that."
