It was there in the dark
It had no future.
No past.
No begging.

It was simply there.
It did nothing.
Heard nothing.
Cared for nothing

It was just a thing.
Like it'd always been.
But, they didn't know that.

They sat there.
Doing nothing.
Not caring.
Not remembering.

It had no clue on how long it had been there.
But it knew. There was no way out.
So they explored

Different AU's. Different timelines.
There was only one they hadn't yet been able to visit.

Undertale.
There was a strong sense of determation in there.
It always confused them.

It was a fimiliar feeling, but they didn't understand it.
But. They planned to go in either way

Just so they could see everything.
///////////////////

They had gone in the au.
Their was a strong sense of determation now. Stronger than anything.

Monsters were above ground
Not like any other au....
They looked around.

They followed the feeling of determation

It was...from a....Sans?
There was no human.

They wanted to know more.
But their was no way to communicate.

They... Almost recognized him.
Somehow it was.... Different.

They didn't see anyone else though.
No Papyrus, no Toriel.

They were confused.
To say the least.
Maybe he was a survivor of a genoside?

But they looked closer at him.
He...Had something In his hand.

A heart locket.
Their heart locket....

They remembered.
This was their timeline...
"Sans?" They said.

He didn't hear them.

"Hey. Haven't seen you round here before." He spoke.

They perked up.
He saw them?!
But.
He simply walked over to a dog on the floor.

They accepted it.

They were gone.

But they were determined. Determined to be more than nothing.

They looked at sans.

Their feet on the floor now. They balled their fists.

"Sans." They said sternly.

"Kid?" He turned around and looked at them.
His expression changed. A half smile.

"Your....Your alive?" He stood up slowly and looked at you.

He had tears forming In his eyes.
"You- you can reset." He said while slightly smiling.

"I can't reset...I-i don't have a soul." They said with little emotion.

"Then take mine. I won't die, you'll be able to reset, everyone would come back."

They thought about it.

But.

They couldn't.

They knew they couldn't.

So why try?
