Phone Calls

Becca's P.O.V.

Both classes went by really fast. I was surprised by how much studying I had to do! I was in my room studying with Tai when I got a call on my cell phone.

"Hello?" I answered.

"How's my favorite hockey player?" My mom asked.

"Hey mom and you have 2 hockey players. How's everything over there?"

"Everything's good. The restaurant has been booming lately I can barely keep my head straight. How was your first day of classes?"

"They were alright. I realized how tough college is going to be. Adam and I are first string on the team!"

"That's wonderful honey! I'm so proud of you and it'll be okay. We miss you!"

"I miss you guys too! Have you talked to Charlie any since he moved out?"

"Yeah I have. He misses you guys a lot. Him and Linda broke up."

"What?! I'm gonna call him right now. Love you mom!"

"Love you too dear. Tell Adam we said hi!"

"Will do bye mom!"

I hung up the phone and decided to called Charlie.

"Hello?" Charlie asked.

"Hey Char. How's college?" I asked.

"It's alright classes are hard. I'm first string on the team!"

"That's great Char. I heard about you and Linda. I'm sorry."

The phone went silent for a minute.

"It's okay Becca. It was for the best."

"What happened?"

"She said that the distance is too much for us. She also found someone else."

"Woah! She cheated?! That bitch!!"

"No she didn't cheat it's just she found someone else."

"I'm sorry Char. Call me if you need me."

"Will do sis. How's Adam?"

"He's good. He's in the middle of pledging to a frat right now."

"Oh wow how do you feel about that?"

"I mean I'm happy for him! I'm just a little scared it's gonna be like our freshman year of high school all over again ya know? He's concerned about that too."

"You know Adam. He'll never do anything to hurt you. It'll be okay."

"You didn't say that when we first started dating Char." I giggled.

"I know it was just a big brother protecting his little sister."

"Charlie we're twins you're older than me by one minute."

"Whatever Becca anyways I have to go. Practice starts soon. Tell Adam that I miss him."

"I will Char. Love you."

"Love you too."

I hung up the phone and looked up at Tai.

"You're an awful lair!" Tai said laughing.

"What the hell are you talking about girl?" I asked confused.

"You lied to Adam! You said for him to go for the frat and then you tell your brother that you're scared."

"I'm trying to be a good girlfriend, Tai!"

"You have to tell Adam how you feel about the frat."

"No Tai it's too late. I don't want to cause a fight that isn't necessary."

"Alrighty then. Whatever you say." She said as she rolled her eyes.

"I have to get to practice. I'll see you later Tai." I said as I grabbed my hockey gear and walked out of the room to get Adam.
