I sat up in my bed, and I instantly regretted it. Pain flared through my body, running across my stomach and face. I pushed through the urge to lay back down. Standing up I meandered my way to the bathroom and applied the life saving concealer.

God, Tuesday's suck... So does every other day, not the point though. After I finished covering the bruises and black eye, I quickly changed, and ran out of the house, only slowing down when I got there.

Running relieves the stress to me. You can just feel the stress melt away as your muscles bend and pull. You can hear the thoughts swoosh out of your brain as you pick up the speed. I don't know maybe I'm just weird.

I stood by the lockers alone, my friends were skipping to go shopping. I would go, but my dad would get mad. No, he wouldn't just get mad...he'd get furious.

I really don't want that. He wasn't mad last night, just bored. The irony of it though. He's a police officer. Funny, I know, he's out there protecting the innocent, but in there he's a monster. A unbreakable monster.

I leaned against the wall when I felt someone beside me. I turn my head, and low and behold, guess who it was?

The newbie.

"Hey umm I'm sorry for yesterday. Can we start over?" He holds out his hand. I gingerly look at it. Is it a trick? I don't know, but i don't hold grudges. I shake his hand reluctantly, what was happening? "We're cool" I promptly say with no emotion. "I'm Alex, I have class with you. I think I have all my classes with you to be honest."

I rub the sleep out of my eyes "Yeah I think we do." I study his face. He had almost black eyes, it was the kind that captivate you into their trap. Alex's face suddenly contorted into anger. "What happened!?" He crossed his arms, obviously mad at something.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Is all I could figures out with to say. "Don't play dumb! Your eye, what happened?" I was confused, how could he have seen the black eye? Oh my god! Duh! When I rubbed my fricken eyes! "N-nothing, just kneed myself. I'm extremely clumsy, always falling or something." I let out a nervous chuckle. Please believe it. Please please ple- "You're me feeding me shit! You couldn't have gotten that from a knee!" He was almost shouting now.

To be entirely honest, I was scared. I know what happens guys yell, and nothing good comes from it. "S-so my knee couldn't have rammed into my eye? Hmm, I think it can." I tried to put on a brave face. "No, I mean yeah, but-" he tried to continue but I cut him off. "Well I better get to class, see you there." I left him in the hallway.

Walking to my next class, I was stopped by a guy, Sean. This kid has been trying to get with me since Junior high. He was cruel about it, always picking fun at me. "You want to go on a date with me Friday?" This was only the second time this month. "No, I do not! Besides I'm going to the party Friday. Now excuse me, I have to get to class." I shove past him into the classroom.

Boy, I was so excited for that party. Party, let your stress, worry, and fear just pound away with the music. Meeting with friends, the whole shibang. I wish now, I never went. Never ever, went to that cursed party.
