Ragnarök'n'Roll Time (Part One)

Magnus Chase's POV

I am startled awake by a loud blast of sound. It sounds like Heimdall's horn which startles me. This could be the start of Ragnarök! I open my eyes to see a note floating in the air in front of me. Heimdall's horn is still blasting, yet I reach out for the note and read it.

Dear Magnus,

Ragnarök is almost here and we need to be prepared. Get all your weapons and armor into one of the bags placed in your closet. The other bag in your closet is where you may put your necessities like clothing and games. Odin's plan is to have five floors of einherjar's for every one world. Your floor, floor nineteen, is going to be assigned Midgard. You and the rest of the einherjar's will stay in a hotel within Midgard and wait until Midgard completely freezes over. The entirety of Midgard freezing over signals that Ragnarök will be upon us soon. Everyone else on your floor will be transported the same way you will be to Midgard. All you need to do is simply walk out of the door to be transported to your hotel. You will be assigned a room with one other person that Odin has assigned to you. We do not have the information of who that is yet, but the clerk at the Midgard hotel will tell you. You must not leave your hotel room for anything other than Ragnarök starting to ensure your safety. Good luck Magnus.

Ragnarök is almost here?! I quickly sprint off my bed and over to my closet so I can pack and get ready to leave. I can't believe it's finally here, I can't believe it's finally time. Some of these einherjar's have waited millenniums for this moment, and now its happening. I open my closet to see two tiny backpacks. I quickly grab them and dash to put my armor in one bag, and my essentials in the other. My adrenaline starts to pump as I open the backpack to find it's way bigger on the inside (Just like a Tardis). I put the armor in and then grab the other bag to put my clothing and essentials items in. This bag is bigger then the last one on the inside, so I am able to fit all my clothing in it plus my pictures from the mantel and some books. Then as I finish up I throw the backpacks on my back and get ready to walk out the door. I can't believe we have to stay in our rooms the whole time while waiting for Ragnarök, why can't we go out and help save people from their frozen deaths? I don't know, but I know I have to follow Odin's directions and get to Midgard quickly.

Alex Fierro's POV

As soon as I heard Heimdall's horn, I knew that Ragnarök had started. I packed up as the note asked and got ready to go. I was sad I had to leave most of my clay sculptures and art behind but I knew it was for the best. This may not be the day of the actual fight for Ragnarök but it signal's the beginning. I kept my golden garrote (The one that Sif got me) around my waist just in case there was any trouble and headed quickly out of the door to my room. 

Once I got to Midgard through the portal outside my door, I saw hundreds of einherjar's crowding the streets of Boston. It was weird to see all of them in such a normal setting. Then I see what obviously is the hotel we are staying in called hotel Midgard. I walk towards it with hundreds of other einherjars. It's crowded inside of hotel Midgard because everyone is going up to the clerk to get their room cards. I wait in the corner of the room for the line to get shorter so that I can get my key card. My nerves feel jumpy and ecstatic, I try to calm them down to no avail. I can't help but wonder who my roommate will be. I just hope it isn't some guy that claims he's a demigod but isn't (There are about four of those on floor nineteen alone). As the line for the clerk gets shorter I get into it. It starts to get really boring just waiting in line until Magnus walks up behind me. 

"Is this the back of the line to get our key cards for our rooms?" He asks me. 

"Yeah and it's also the line that makes me extremely bored," I say and roll my eyes. 

Magnus looks tired yet very alert. He has two backpacks strapped to his back and he is out of breath. He looks very hot, wait oh gods did I just think that?! Why did I think that? Do I think he is really hot...........well yeah but why? Just why do I think that way? He looks at me with questioning eyes and I cross my arms across my chest. 

Then he smirks and says, "You might want to stop staring at me and get your key card Alex" 

I turn around, shaken out of thought by what he said. I walk up to the clerk and he asks me my name.

"Alex Fierro" I reply.

The clerk hands me my key card to my room and I start to walk towards a wall with the map of the hotel. My room number is A20 (It says on the card) which is to the right and down the hall. I start to walk there and end up running. I need to see the room before whoever is going to be my roommate gets there, just to see where we will be putting all of our stuff. I get to the room and open it with the keycard. I walk into the room to see a small bathroom to the right of me, a tiny hallway that leads into the bedroom in front of me, and the bedroom. The bedroom itself has two closets, two dressers, one desk and chair, a T.V next to a uncomfy wooden chair, and one king sized bed. Great, I am going to have to share the bed with whoever my roommate is. I put my bags down on the desk and sigh. I pick up the room service pamphlet on the desk so I can page through it (Because I am extremely bored). There wasn't even windows to look out of in this darn room, so I couldn't just stare out them, so the pamphlet was my only choice. Then I hear the door to the room open and none other then Magnus Chase waltzing in. Oh gods why do they want me to room with him? He looks just as confused as I am. 

"Why do you think they made us room together?" He says to me and walks into the bedroom part of the room. 

"I have no idea Maggie," I say calmly. 

"Why did you call me Maggie?" He asks.

"I don't know, because I felt like it," I say rudely.

"Okay," He says.

"Okay," I say to mock him.

(I know this part one of Ragnarök'n'Roll time is not actually a one-shot because it will have another part, but trust me, I think you'll like it)
