Shawn Michaels certainly has some odd moments. His continued push and ability to get away with things that would get other wrestlers fired had many fans questioning that there was something going on between him and Vince McMahon. Why would McMahon — who is widely known to prefer huge, beefy dudes working for him — give the little Heartbreak Kid so much exposure? Why would he pay Shawn's full salary for four years while he was out of the ring?
One conspiracy theory is that the duo were lovers and had been getting it on for years. Several grapplers, including Road Warrior Hawk, have stated this as if it were a fact, but it seems pretty unlikely.
