 The dinner was this evening.

Logan was never the type of person who got nerves. There was no reason to get nervous according to him. What was the point?

This morning he felt the closest thing to nervous, because he still didn't do nervous. His stomach was turning and his heart had accelerated. It wasn't nerves though. It was jitters. Pre-game jitters. Not nerves.

Dan seemed happy this morning. Unusually so. It made the jitters worse. Plans were already brooding in his little brother's head about the dinner this evening. Logan just hoped that his brother wouldn't be harsh to Alessa and at least give her a chance.

Jealous fucking prick.

The only good thing was that the tense silence around them had disappeared. Instead a different kind of tension had taken its place.

Logan wasn't too sure what type of tension he preferred.

After he dropped his brother off, he debated about going to Alessa's work. Logan didn't need to be at work on time this morning. There wasn't much to do and all four of them were going to be there, so he was allowed to be late and he needed to talk to Alessa.

Alessa wasn't prepared for dealing with his brother.

They had only been able to briefly talk on the phone last evening. Alessa still had some work to translate, so he had just been able to ask about if it was okay that his brother and Nic came along as well. But she had already known, so she had answered yes before returning to her work.

She had sounded excited about it.

With that thought in mind, the debate in his head had ended and he turned to drive to Felicity Hotel. He had never been inside the place, but Alessa worked as a receptionist. How difficult could it be to find her?

Not difficult at all as it turned out.

The difficult part had been finding a place to park his car. The hotel was not friendly to people who weren't guests or employees. His car was parked across the street a couple of hundred feet away.

Alessa was easy to find. The reception was located right to the right when one walked in down the stairs. There was no line.

Her eyes widened before a smile spread across her face. "What are you doing here?" She asked when he was still a couple of feet away from her.

A huge grin came on his face as well. It was impossible not to show any sign of happiness in her presence.

"To surprise you." It was supposed to be a statement, but it came out like a question.

Her eyebrows furrowed. "Just to surprise me?" She asked. "What are you planning to surprise me with?"

"My presence," he said as his hands motioned over his body.

A laugh escaped her lips as she threw her head throw back. Nothing was better than getting her to laugh. Not that it was difficult to make her laugh. Still he viewed each laughter as an accomplishment.

"But seriously what are you doing here?" She asked.

A frown spread over his face but his lip kept twitching. He couldn't even fake it if he tried. "What you don't believe that I'd just come to surprise you?"

Another chuckle. "Honestly not really."

A hand flew to chest. "You wound me."

The comment resulted in more giggles.

Then he sighed. "Okay so there might be another reason why I came to see you," he admitted causing her to raise an eyebrow with a smile on her face.
