"I want to go to Chile," Alessa admitted.

The confession would have sounded like a suggestion for a vacation a couple of weeks ago, but it wasn't a couple of weeks ago. Instead it was a declaration that Alessa wanted to find her birth parents.

Overall it was a rather logical confession.

"When do you want to go?" Logan asked her.

There was no point in refusing her. That would be plain cruel. The evidence that Alessa had shown him proved that there was a very strong likelihood that Alessa had been taken away from there.

Her kidnappers had left Miami two days after the day that she was supposed to be born for a week before returning to Houston the city that she was supposed to be born in. Multiple transactions were made with people that had been known to deal with this whole kidnapping business.

The chance that she was born in Chile was highly plausible.

It was just as plausible as the chance that O.J. Simpson had murdered his wife. There was no real proof, but just all theses coincidences and incidents that lead Logan and Alessa to believe that she was from Chile.

"As soon as possible really," she started. "I already looked at my schedule and in three weeks I should be able to get a whole week off so I was thinking right about then."

Logan nodded. "I'll check if I can come too."

Alessa gaped. It was a rather unusual and therefore comical expression. "Logan, you really don't have to come with me. I can handle this on my own."

Logan gave her a smile as he reached to grab her hand across the dining table in his apartment. "I'm aware that you can handle it by yourself, but I told you that I would help you and I think that you're going to need someone to vent to and it would be better if I could be next to you during this whole process."

Alessa's smile brightened the room as she gave his hand a squeeze in response. "I would love for you to come with me, but I don't want this trip to get in the way of your job. Besides, this whole .... thing is kind of my problem."

"You trusted me with this whole thing and now I'm here to help and support. I'm pretty sure that that's the whole point of relationships, right? It's all about supporting each other and cheesy shit like that, right?"

A laugh escaped her lips. "And the sex."

"Well that's a given," he agreed with a grin.

The laughter continued for a few seconds. "I guess that you're coming with me, then."

The grin on his face became bigger as he leaned over the table to give her a quick kiss. Although he succeeded, he made a mental note to never do that again. The edge of the table digged uncomfortably in his stomach.

"But," Alessa started.

Logan let out a loud groan. "You're making this a lot more difficult than it needs to be. I'm going whether you like it or not."

She chuckled. "It's not that. I'm aware that I can't change your stubborn mule-headed ways," she said.

"Mule-headed?"

"Mules are really stubborn," she said with a completely serious expression on her face.

"Still, I'm pretty sure that the...," he said before shaking his head. "You know what... never mind. So what's this but about?" Inwardly he chuckled at the last statement.

"This but is about our brothers."

His eyebrows furrowed, not completely understanding what she was trying to say until he suddenly did. Another groan escaped his lips.
