Chapter 4

Jasper's P.O.V

I yelled loudly in my alpha voice. The whispers from the crowd fell silent and Calico yowled again. It broke my heart to hear it and I quickly shifted into my big chocolate brown wolf. I growled loudly and said "Stand Down Jackson!" He smiled a wolfish sneer and started to shake Calico violently.She yowled in pain and I started to lose control of my wolf.I said one more time "Jackson Stand Down!" He smirked then through Calico against a tree and I heard a crack.I broke.The next thing I knew I was lunging at Jackson and swiftly bit down on his neck.I stepped back when he didn't move.Gasps and whispered erupted from my pack and I shifted behind a tree and changed. I stepped out and my baby sister,Liza, came running to me.She said in her childish voice "Jaspey why did you hurt Jacky??" I smiled and whispered in her ear so only she could here "because he was hurting your new Luna" She gasped then giggled really loud.She hugged my neck and then wiggled out of my embrace.She ran across the field and went to the small figure of my unconscious mate. I followed after her na bent down.I brushed Calico's hair out of her face and I saw her eyes start to flutter.She opened them and saw me. She smiled weakly then saw my sister. She sat up quickly and hugged Liza.Liz gasped then hugged back.I heard my mate whisper "it is you" I helped her to her feet and I turned around to see my entire pack crowded around me,Liza,and Calico. My sister ran to my mother who looked at me.My father said "Jasper....explain why a kitten turned into a girl" I smiled and said "Midnight Moon Pack this is my mate,Calico.She is one of the last kitten-shifters alive and she is your new Luna.If anyone gives her disrespect I will personally punish you. Im am deeply sorry to Mrs. and Mr.Jones for their son's loss but he would have taken away your Luna and eventually your Alpha."
