Melanie POV
"Hello?" I hear my voice echo as I enter into the boutique
"Over here" I hear Heather say
"Oh Shannon good thing you're here, I've been meaning to ask you what happened" I say setting the cupcakes I brought down
"Long story, don't feel like telling it" she responds
"Jordan again?" I ask, which is her boyfriend. They always have something their arguing about.
"Yes and are those cupcakes!" she says grabbing one
"Why are you all fancy?" Heather asks
I laugh "I went to a party after the game today.."
"Party and we weren't invited" Heather gasps
"Odell invited me, it was a barbecue" I respond laughing
"Ooooohhh you and Beckham, I like it" Shannon teases
"We're just friends"
"Who is that message from?" Heather asks pointing down at my phone

Dell💪🏽🏈: On my way😏
Heather grabs my phone out of my hands
"HEATHER" I scream trying to grab it back
"You guys text a lot I see" she says scrolling through our messages
I finally get my phone back and say "I'll meet up with you tomorrow and we can finalize everything for NYFW"
"Have to go see your new boo huh?" Shannon teases as I make my way back out

Dell💪🏽🏈: Almost there😉
I quickly get back home and change into a sweatshirt and shorts. I put my hair into a high messy bun.
My doorbell rings and I open the door to the handsome man himself
"Hey Mel" he says handing me my drink
"Odell, you didn't really have to..oh my gosh you got me banana nut bread" I scream jumping into his arms "How'd you know?" I ask
"I have my ways" he winks snaking his arms around me from behind and resting his head in my neck
"So what do you want to do?" I ask
"Have any movies?" he asks walking into my living room
"I have Netflix" I laugh
"Netflix and chill?" he winks
"Okay, you can pick the movie out" I respond sitting down next to him and he pulls me onto his lap
"Let's watch a scary movie"
"Whyyyyyy" I whine
"This ones not that scary" he says getting up and turning the lights off
"Hand me that blanket please" I ask and he throws it at me and plops back down next to me
"You cold?" he asks as I slowly shiver
"Just a little bit"
"Come here" he says pulling me closer to him and laying the blanket across both of us
"Odell you're so warm" I say cuddling into his chest
"Mhmmm" he says rubbing my lower back with his thumb "I wanted to ask you something"
"What?"
"You had a thing with Cam Newton?"
"How'd you know that?" I ask upset
"Jarvis mentioned it--" I cut him off
"Well it's not his business to tell and I don't want to talk about it" I snap
"Wasn't trying to upset you, just curious" Odell responds and he sounds slightly irritated
For the rest of the movie we didn't talk until I almost jumped out of my skin and hid my face in his chest
"You good?" he asks laughing
"Mhmmm" I respond still hiding
"Your phones blowing up" he says and I look at it, I have 7 missed calls from Jarvis
"Not going to answer him?" he asks
"Not in the mood" I answer dryly
We continue to watch the movie and I end up falling asleep in his arms
Odell POV
The movie finished and Melanie is asleep on me. I don't want to wake her up, so I picked her up and carried her to her room.
As I'm laying her down in her bed she wakes up and says "Are you leaving?"
"It's past midnight Mel, I have workouts in the morning at 7" I respond kissing her cheek
"Please stay" she whines wrapping her arms around my neck
"Are you sure?" I ask and she whispers in my ear "Please Dell I need you"
I know she's half asleep and wouldn't be acting like this if she was awake
I actually want to take this seriously, so I decide not to take advantage of her
"Goodnight Mel, I'll call you tomorrow" I say putting her sheets over her and kissing her forehead this time
As soon as I turn back around, she's fully asleep again
