"Cute, two can play that game" Odell laughs

"We'll see" I say walking towards my car

"Is this another bet?" he asks

"I don't know if you want to do that, you lost the last time" I smile

"Sweetheart, I let you win" he chuckles

"Ok, it's a bet then" I smirk

"See you at the game tomorrow Melanie" with that he finally drives off

I woke up to loud banging at my door by whoever is crazy enough to wake me up at 6A.M

Slamming it open I scream "WHAT"

"Nice to see you as well Melanie" my brothers hold their arms out and I attack them

Seeing them was just what I needed, I have so many things going on right now

"You never were a morning person" Dave says welcoming himself in

"Why didn't you guys tell me you were coming" I ask

"It's called a surprise" James answers

"How long are you staying?"

"Next Saturday" they answer simultaneously

"Well...I have SO much to tell you guys"

"Let's talk about it over breakfast" Dave whines

"Well I only have eggs..." I say looking through my fridge

"Let's go somewhere, my treat" James offers

"Alright let me get ready" I groan walking back up the stairs

"Don't take forever!" Dave yells and I slam my door

After I get out of the shower, I checked Snapchat and saw Odell posted a photo with some girl

This must be his first tactic to get under my skin

But as he said, two can play that game

I put on one of my own dresses that I've made

and then texted Shannon that I should be in by noon today

The drive to this cute breakfast place I always go to was full of questions

Majority of them about Cameron, so I decided to change the subject once we got seated

"So you guys remember Jarvis right?"

"How could we forget" Dave answers

"Well I have four tickets to the Giants game tonight"

"Dang, good friend" James says snatching them out of my hand

"So you guys want to come?" I laugh

"Is that even a question" Dave laughs

Dave and James went off to explore New York and I went into work

Shannon greets me with "Tomorrow is the big day"

I invited Odell to come but who knows if he will now

I stay at the boutique for about five hours in preparation for the show

Checking my phone no text or call from Odell...interesting

Driving back to my house to pick up Dave and James, I text Jarvis good luck tonight

He's probably busy warming up, so I know he won't respond

Arriving at the arena we find our seats and shockingly I'm sitting next to Ben and A$AP Rocky

"Ayeeee Melanie, we meet again and I'm sure you know who he is already" he says pointing at A$AP Rocky

We shake hands and he is awkwardly still staring at me

"Don't mean to stare, you're just beautiful"

I blush and say thanks

"Be careful, that's Odell's girl" Ben replies

and I interrupt "No, actually I'm not, we're just friends"

"That's not what it looked like when..." Ben starts and I give him the death stare

He laughs and throws his hands up saying "my bad"

Dave and James have disappeared at this point, so I'm stuck here basically alone once the game ends

But they won so that's a good thing

Ben gets up to talk to some other people and A$AP scoots closer to me

Out of the corner my eye I can see Odell and Zendaya and they are kissing

"So what was your name again?" he asks

"Melanie" I smile

"Well Melanie--" he starts but is interrupted by Odell walking up to us with his arm around Zendaya

"Hey Melanie, Jarvis is on his way up, but I wanted you to meet Zendaya" Odell smiles and I know he's thinking he won

I laugh and say hi as she holds her hand out but I don't shake it

I guess that made her feel awkward because she whispers something in Odell's ear and walks away

"I'll get your number from Ben and we'll talk later" and now A$AP leaves just Odell and I standing here

I'm pissed and kind of hurt, and I know it's all over my face

This must be how Odell felt yesterday when he saw me with Drake

I hold my head down because I hate giving him the satisfaction

He tilts my head up and whispers in my ear "Checkmate"
