A taste of Africa(poem)

My heart bleeds to see the terror before my eyes,
My home filled with hatred, anger and lies.
As a memory flashes through,
I remember the freedom, the love and family too.
I once had it all and now it's all lost.

Trees, flowers, animals and people.
For in our Africa there was that too.
Our land was extraordinary,
yes it was.
It was once peaceful,
now everything has just gone wrong.
Is this the Africa?...
The place I once knew.
