"Wah?" Taehyung's eyebrows scrunched together as his lips curled downwards into a frown.
"This is how you spell 'cat'," you continue, watching Taehyung squint his eyes as he tried processing the information.
"But k?" He scratched his head.
"No, no, C-A-T, cat," you explain. "I know it's weird because the k sound and the c sound are similar to each other, but trust me when I say that that's how you spell cat."
"Not nice," Taehyung muttered, putting his hand out to obtain the 'cat' card you held.
"Yeah, English isn't a very nice language," you reply, handing him the card.
He stared at it for a couple of moments before putting it down, closing his eyes as he leaned back into the couch.
You take the time to admire his features. His brown hair stopped at the top his ears, it's chocolate color essence shining under the artificial light of your apartment. His thick lips were pulled down in a relaxed manner and he looked at peace. Then you moved up to look at his closed eyes.
You notice the bags under his eyes and frown slightly. You were pretty sure they weren't there when the two of you first met so why are they there now?
"Hey, Tae, have you been sleeping lately?" You sit up straighter as you wait for his reply.
He opens his eyes at the sound of your voice, his mouth opening into a cute yawn. He blinks a couple of times before responding.
"Ah, ah.. yeah?" He smiles slightly.
"Really? You seem pretty tired," you say worryingly, pursing your lips into a fine line.
"I—yawn—am not tired," Tae argued, rubbing his eyes awake.
"You're about as energetic as Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh," you chuckle, standing up.
"Eewah?" Taehyung tilted his head to the side, not understanding your reference.
"Just get some sleep, I'll go make some warm tea," you murmur, picking up a blanket from the floor and handing it to Taehyung.
"Erm, wam, thanks," he murmured softly, not bothering to cover himself with the blanket as he dozed off.
You smile to yourself as you enter your kitchen, opening cabinets and finding the ingredients you needed to make the warm drink. First, you grabbed a mug and filled it with water. You searched around from your sugar jar, but didn't end up finding it. Then you reached into a cabinet for the tea bags, taking two. You put the water filled mug into the microwave, setting the timer for one minute.
As you went to look for another mug, you heard a soft shuffling of feet from the living room. Tae must be awake, you thought, walking over the door of your kitchen to sneak a peak.
And what you found was mildly amusing, to say the least.
"Where do you think you're going?" Your lips curve upwards into a smirk, watching Tae's mouth open and close like a fish out of water.
He was standing the door to your apartment, his hand on the doorknob, ready to leave. How rude, you thought to yourself, holding in a giddy laugh.
