Last Chapter....

"Hailey," I say stopping to face her. She stops and faces me. "I don't know where to start with these kinds of talks because I've never done this before. In fact I have never even been out on a real date before. This whole thing is all new to me.

"So I'll just start here I guess. You are the most gorgeous girl I have ever seen in my life. Your perfection is too much for me. I do not deserve you, I know I don't, I just refuse to give you back. I have not felt this good in years. I know that since I have taken you things have been nothing but h*** for you and I am so sorry. If you give me a chance I can make up for everything, I have done. I swear if you just trust me, I can take the bad away and replace it with the good.

"Words cannot describe how much you mean to me. When I saw you that first day leaving your dance class, I knew I had to have you. However, I couldn't just ask you out. I am a criminal but a criminal with a heart. Therefore, I took you. I am sorry I did things the way I did but if you just let me show you I can make this work. I will make you the happiest girl in the world. Please Hailey will you....well w-will you be my girlfriend?"

She stared at me shocked from what I just said. I've just shocked myself. Who knew I could confess my feelings?

I could see the tears well up in her eyes as she looked at me. This is a moment of truth for me. A make or break moment. Hailey smiles softly at me.

"Jason I...."

Narrator's POV

Boys will be boys. They'll make hearts and break them. They'll take and take until there is nothing left to give. However, what if there was one boy that you didn't mind taking from you and breaking you. What if you could take the pain that came with having that boy? 

What if the boy made you happy in certain ways but in most, he hurt you? Let me tell you a story. There is this boy. He hurt me more than once. Caused me to do things that are unspeakable. He tore me down but now he is trying. The boy is trying to make up for his mistakes. He took me out for an amazing night and showed me a part of him I did not even know existed.

The boy is judged by his cover. The world fears him from what they have heard but not from what they have seen. People talk about him in a vicious way but they do not know him. They do not know his story or what he goes through every day. Little do they know, the boy has a heart. He can be a boy at times but he is a man.

A man that works hard for what he's got. His ways of work are not good but that is all he knows. That is all he has been shown throughout his entire life.

The boy, or as I say now, the man has a very different outlook on life. While most see a new day to work, live, and be happy. He sees a new day to fight, hide, and run. The man is constantly in defense mode. He does not know what it feels like to truly be happy.

What if you could change all that for him? What if you just being with him every day could make his whole day better? What if he asked you himself to be a part of his life?

Can you look past all the pain the man caused you? Would you take the chance of changing someone's life? What if that someone is a cold-hearted criminal? What if that someone took you, kidnapped you, from your life?

What if that someone was Jason McCann? Would you give him a chance?

Hailey's POV

"Jason I.... " He cut me off before I could finish my sentence.

"Hailey please. I will do everything and anything I can to make you happy. To make up for the pain I have caused you. Will you please let me try?" He is now on his knees in front of me holding my hands. The look in his eyes show nothing but desperation.
