Sal would be the kind of dad to teach his kids to prank others, omg I love him <3
This chapter is inspired by a 'Friends' episode :)
Second Person POV
Today was the day. The day you'd finally tell the man who was going to be the father to your baby. Sal, your loving boyfriend of 2 years had never mentioned his views on becoming a parent, so you weren't exactly thrilled to see his reaction.
You had called Sal to tell him that you'd meet him outside the house, once he was back from filming for the day. He agreed and said that he'd be home as soon as possible.
Once you had arrived back home, you perched on the small step by the front door. You soon saw Sal's car pull up and park in the driveway. He swiftly exited the car and strolled over to you. Sal held out his hand for you to hold and helped you up from the step. He greeted you with a kiss to the cheek and a warm hug.
"How was your day, Beautiful?" He asked, as you opened the front door and both walked into the house. You took your jacket off, neatly hanging it on the nearby peg and put your shoes away in the closet.
"Um, yeah. It's been okay thanks, Babe. How was your day?" You replied, a tad nervous at how you'd approach the subject. Sal looked at you worryingly, before he responded.
"My day was good thanks, we punished Joe. He had to tell parents how to look after their kids. It was so funny, he looked like a right arsehole." Sal laughed, before frowning. "But your day was just...okay?"
"Listen, Sal...I really need to tell you something and I'm not sure how you're going to take it." You sighed, running your hands through your hair in distress. Sal's eyes widened, as he started to ramble.
"Oh my God. You want to break up with me, don't you? I'm such a dick. What did I do wrong? Let me fix it. I don't want to lose you. Please don't go. Was it the bog monster costume for foreplay night? It was, wasn't it?" He spluttered, ruffling his hair and panicking about what you were going to say.
"Sal..." You started, as you grabbed his hands, one; to calm him down and two; to move him to the sofa. You sat him down and took a seat opposite him, clutching his hands tightly. "I'm pregnant." You blurted out. You watched as all the character and emotion in Sal's face vanished. His skin paled and he stared mindlessly at you. You waved your hand side to side in front of his eyes, to try and catch his attention. But it was no use.
After what seemed like forever, and hours of silence, you snapped your fingers and called out his name.
"Sal!" You yelled. Sal blinked, as his eyes regained focus. He looked at you, his mouth dry, as he struggled to speak. You moved to beside him, resting your head against his shoulder. "I understand if you want to break up." You whispered.
"No, er- No...I need you. I'm happy, honestly. Just came as a surprise, I mean, we used a condom?" He stammered, as his body came to life again.
"Apparently, they're only 98% effective." You sighed. Sal jumped up, running into the bedroom. He soon returned with a package of condoms, excessively reading the label.
"WHAT?!" He shrieked. "Well they should write it in a bigger font!" He yelled. You sighed deeply, leaning your back against the sofa. Sal reached for his phone and rang Q. "Brian, I just found out that condoms are only 98% effective!" He shouted. You could hear the commotion over the phone, as Q started to panic as well. Sal soon calmed down and returned to his seat beside you.
"Sal," You whispered. He turned to face you, listening intently. "If you don't want the baby...I'll quite happily move out and become a single moth-" You were interrupted by Sal's lips on yours. He pulled away and smiled.
"Never." He replied. "Never ever, would I give up this opportunity to have a baby with you, [Y/N]. Yeah, I am shocked, but only because of the news about the condoms." You chuckled at his remark, as he tried to make light of the situation. "But I'd be stupid to let you go. I know you'll be a great mother to our child and, although I may fail at it, I cannot wait to be a father. I love you, [Y/N]."
"Oh Sal," You cried, as you cuddled into him, letting him wrap his arm around your shoulder. "I'm so glad you feel that way. You're going to make a great father, I love you so much. I was so worried that you'd want nothing to do with me-" Sal put his hands up and stopped you mid-sentence.
"None of that now. Only think of the positives from now on." He smiled.
9 Months Later
You were being wheeled back into your hospital room. You had been put to sleep, while the c-section was carried out, due to the intense health risks that could have happened, if you were to have to given birth naturally.
Your head felt groggy, as you stirred awake from your slumber. Your eyes searched around the room, before they locked onto a shadowy figure in the distance. It was Sal. He was watching over your newborn son.
Sal, who was now your husband, noticed that you were beginning to wake up. He quickly wheeled the hospital bassinet to the side of your bed. He sat down on the edge of the bed and patiently waited for you to become fully alert.
"Hey, Sleepy Head." He smiled, as he gently kissed your forehead.
"Hey, Babe." You smiled. Sal's eyes shifted towards the baby, before he leant down to pick him up. Sal cradled [Y/S/N], before handing him over to you.
"You did it, Baby Girl." Sal smiled, as his eyes began to water. "Here's our little boy." You started to cry, as the emotions overwhelmed you.
"Oh Sal, he's so gorgeous. He must get that from you." You whispered gently. Sal shook his head, letting out a slight chuckle of amusement.
"Absolutely not, he's all you. Every single thing about him is perfect...just like his mama." Sal stroked your arm in support. He slowly leant forward and let his lips meet with yours.
The Vulcanos were now a family of three.
