Chapter 2
I woke up gradually, my head was still pounding. My first sensation was one of warmth.
My head was buried into something hard yet comfortable. I impulsively snuggled more into the comfy warmth. It felt like a cocoon. I registered that one strong arm was possessively encircled around my waist and one hand was caressing my hairs, the strong fingers working on my scalp massaging it, made the headache better. I felt at ease.
I force my eyelids to open and peek through my lashes but couldn't see anything because my face was flushed against the person's chest.
The realization hit me hard as if a gallon of cold water was poured over my head. I immediately untangle our legs and struggled to get out of his hold by pushing him at his chest. He sensed my efforts and loosen his grip. I shot upright and cower to the far end of the bed. I couldn't see anything because the room was dark, only one dim lamp was lit to my right. Am I in the same room? The last time I checked the room was not dark. I could still make out his silhouette in the darkness.
Carefully I placed my legs on the floor and fumbled in the darkness to search the main switch.
I randomly clicked on the button. Relief washed over my face when the lights went on, illuminating the room.I was in the same room, with the same disgusting person.
"You okay?" he immediately asked with fake concern.
I did not reply. He said nothing for a while as he eyed me up and down with his scrutinizing as if he was looking for some sort of injuries.
I turned and walk towards the door and banged it again
"Help! Anyone out there?! Help!"Wait. Where is my phone! Did I lose it!?
I internally groaned. That left me with only one option.
Speak to the devil himself.I felt his presence behind me and for the unknown reason, my heartbeat increased. He was so close that I could smell his Cologne and weird feeling settled in my stomach.
"Get me out of here. Right now" I demanded without looking at him.
"Answer my question"
The nerve of this guy.
"That's none of your concern" I seethed.
He abruptly turns me around taking me by surprise.
How dare he!"You are my concern" he raises his voice and his gaze held mine. His eyes were so dark, just the way I loved.
And the worst part is that I was unable to look away and that angered me more.I am so pathetic.
His gaze fell on my lips for a few seconds and the weird feeling in my stomach magnified.
"You fainted Rebecca. Twice" his voice grew softer.
I pushed him at his chest. His proximity was suffocating me.
"Get me out of here" I repeated sternly.
"It's locked from outside" he reasoned out.
"Where are we and how did we end up here," I asked straightforwardly.
He hesitates before replying.
"We are on the top floor of the pub. This place belongs to my friend so he offered the room for-""Now I get it" I cut him off with a humorless chuckle.
"It was entirely your arrangement. Too bad it didn't work out the way you planned. Sorry but I am not your whore or toy to fuck around" I all but yell.
