Percy's P.O.V.
I watch as Jewel starts to teach some of the new campers about sword fighting. She looks at me and I just nod, leaning against the fence.
"Isn't this your class Percy?" Ben asks as he walks over
"Sure is. But I thought I would give her the chance to see if she is anything like Luke." I say
"But we all know that she is a lot like him." He says with a laugh
"Percy, you can have your class back if you want." Jewel yells
I sigh and push myself off of the fence post and take her place as she steps to where I just was. I finish explaining what Jewel started. I send them to practice on the dummies. I walk back as Jewel holds BackBiter in her hands, twisting it.
"I still can't believe your brother had that made." I say
"I don't even know why I decided to keep it as my weapon." She says
"Maybe because it fits you perfectly like it did with Luke." I suggest
She shrugs as her hand goes to the two camp necklaces she wears. She starts to mess with Luke's, tears coming to her eyes. I pull her into a hug and kiss the top of her head. Ben coughs then says he should get going. I watch him as he walks off.
"Hey, mind sparring with me? I know that will make you feel better." I say
"Are you sure? I learned from my brother." She says
"Are you forgetting that is was Luke who taught me everything I know." I say with a laugh
She brings her sword up and gets into a battle stance. I smile and pull Riptide out and get ready. She lunges at me and that's when the fight begins.
By the time we came back into reality, I see the entire class looking at the both of us. Jewel has a cut right above her lip, when my hilt hit her in the face. She smiles and puts Backbiter away and stands up straight, wiping the blood away from her lip.
"New scar. Thanks Perc." She says
"Of course." I say
I look back at the students as they start to ask where we learned how to fight like that. I smile and Jewel nods and walks away. I start to tell them the story of Luke Castellan, Jewel's older brother.
"It all started with this one son of Hermes..." I start
