Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen all filed into the gym and took their pick of seats in the bleachers. A table was set up in the center of the gym with a small basket of certificates, or also know as prizes. Michael spotted me in the crowd and made his way to me then grabbed hand to lead me back to where he and his friends were. His friends, who I was introduced to, Robbie and Andy, sat next to Thomas.

Michael sat down and I went to sit beside him when he stopped me and moved me to sit in front of him. Slightly perplexed, I went with it and eventually MY friends located me and came to sit with us. Alaina, then me, Sabrina, Aura, Alex, Taya then Brandon. Jonathan didn't usually sit with us at events like this. He had closer friends. My boyfriend ran his wand up and down my back causing me to shudder, so I took it from him and proceeded to poke his shin- which was pressed against my side- with it.

Once everyone was seated, the assistant principle turned on the microphone and an ear splitting shriek that silenced the crowd. "Could everyone who is participating in today's event, please line up on the floor in your proper categories?" Michael asked for his wand, I returned it then he slid out of the row of seats and down the stairs to his category line with Thomas.

More people than I expected to participated. There were quite a few contestants. Seven awards total would be given. The categories were; Best single costume, best double costume, best group costume and best over all. A first and second for each category excluding the final one.

The announcer gave each person's name in each category and what they were, then went onto the judging. Admittedly, I kind of zoned out until they got to the double costume awards. Being biased, I hoped my friends would win but to my disappointment, then didn't. They got second however. The two boys lost to a couple dressed as Pikachu and Ash, which was indeed VERY cute. Though the didn't get first, Michael and Thomas both seemed fairly pleased with their placement. Their category was dismissed to their seats, and Michael handed me his wand before sitting down, then placing his hands on my sides, hidden by his legs. My face grew warm and I felt a cage of butterflies erupt in my stomach. I really hoped he'd send me a picture of him in his costume after school...
