I screamed aloud.
It was a horrible sight.
There was blood everywhere.

I just ran to the kitchen to find a mop.
As soon as I came back, everything was neat and clean.

Was I hallucinating?

I sat down thinking about all that happened.

By that time Fred was also there.
I was sobbing.

"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Fred there's someone behind that door."

"There's nothing behind those walls Elsa," he said.

"I swear to God there was blood everywhere and....."

Fred interrupted.

"Elsa. Listen. There isn't anything like blood or a girl singing. You get that? You're just tired."

I sat on the bed feeling bad because Fred didn't believe me.

His words echoed in my head

Elsa. Listen. There isn't anything like blood or a girl singing.

I never told him about the girl or the voice.

"Fred, please come here, I need something"

"Fred?"

I was about to go to check on him but my phone started ringing.

303

Was the only thing on the screen.

With a pounding heart, I picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Elsa I'm sorry that I'm not hone until now. Just that the weather here is so refreshing, I guess you should come out for a walk too."

"Fred. Stop playing pranks please" I said.

"I am not joking Elsa," he said.

"Fine I'll be....." I couldn't complete my sentence.
Fred was standing at the door of our bedroom.
His wasn't even having a phone in his hands.

"Elsa? Are you okay?", he said looking at me.

"Who are you talking to" said the person on the phone.

I dropped the phone.

"Fred why are you playing pranks. It's not funny okay. I don't know how you managed to speak to me on phone and be here at the same time. But it's just not funny anymore."

He came and sat beside me.

"I'm sorry" he said.

"Elsa!! I'm back home" I heard Fred's voice from another room.
